  1. Suck it up. At least to didnt take one to the skull.
  2. Ray Alen ties up the Bulls/Celts game with another 3 pointer after Tyrus Thomas missed one of his 2 free throws.
  3. Geovany is quickly becoming one of the easiest outs in baseball.
  4. If Soriano does have to come out, I hope Lou makes sure Pujols or Ludwick eat a fastball, prefererably late in the game by Cotts or Patton or someone nobody cares if they get suspended.
  5. Even if Lee is a D2D type thing, someone has to go to the DL and free Jake Fox.
  6. Its OK, they're just a little confused after the latest lineup shake up. They wont do it again.
  7. That is one ugly lineup. At least tomorrow night we play a team thasts doing just as bad as we are.
  8. I dont know where some of us are getting the idea that this is just a team thats over pefroming. Its a very solid lineup, especially when Troy Glaus comes back. Pujols, Ludwick, Duncan, Molina, Thurston, Barden will all end with a lower OPS than they currently have. Obviously they can't keep up this level of production, but they are still a very good offensive team. Now the starting pitching isn't that great with Carpenter hurt, but if/when he comes back, they are a playoff caliber team. Im not sayign they're going to OPS >1.000 all season, but some people needs to get the idea out of there head that the Cubs are going to waltz away with the division by 10+ games and accept the fact that the competition may be for real. The Cards, The Brewers, and who knows, maybe the Pirates. OK, probably not the Pirates, but you never know.

  10. Of course its too early to panic, but not too early to be frustrated.
  11. Where he came from : Dodgers. Who he is: a guy Id take over anyone we have at this point in time.

  13. Standout performers thus far Iowa Jake Fox .438/.493/1.000/1.493 9HR 27 RBI-I refuse to believe that aguy putting up these kind of ungodly numbers at any level wont at least have some level of major league sucess Jason DuBois .412/.444/.706/1.150-if theres such a thing as a career minor leaguer Hall of Fame, hes a first ballotter, but thats about it. Bobby Scales .362/.441/.586/1.027-another guy who waited until his late 20's torn heads. we'll see if he ever gets a cup of coffee Jeff Stevens 0-0 0.00 0.82 WHIP-Id still prefer DeRosa Randy Wells 2-0 2.65 WHIP 0.94-I think he'll one day be a major leaguer Jose Ascanio 0-0 0.54 WHIP 0.96-he could be helping our pen sooner than later Greg Reinhard 0-0 0.00 WHIP 1.09-who? Tenessee Tony Thomas .364/.438/.618/1.056 4HR 13 RBI Blake Lalli .429/.487/.600/1.097-a 26 year old AAer? Casey Coleman3-0 1.50 WHIP 1.06 Casey Lambert1-1 1.80 WHIP 1.00-I know strikeouts are over rated, but he only has 3 in 15 IP, and thats a red flag John Gaub 0-0 2.08 WHIP 0.92- 4 words LEFT HANDED RELIEF PITCHER Daytona Marquez Smith .293/.356/.683/1.038 5HR Dan McDaniel 2-0 0.79 WHIP 0.44 Marcus Mateo 0-0 0.00 WHIP 0.67
  14. Good luck Chad. Time to make Hendry look worse than he already does.
  15. with 90% of a season left to go, you never know whats going to happen. Maybe St. Louis is for real. maybe not. maybe the Pirates are for real. maybenot. the one thing we can get out of this is that if the Cubs dont make the playoffs, this could well be the end of the Hendry/Piniella era.
  16. what is this "winning" you speak of? Something good teams do. As I recall, the Cubs, back before they were the Cobs used to do a lot of it, primarily in 2008 between April-September.
