i'm assuming the cash involved was somewhere in the $75 million range hmm let's trade them enough cash for dunn so they can sign strasburg. Rather the Nats get him than a better team. I dont think that even the most negative of the NSBB Chicken Littles will tell you that The Cubs will finish bad enough to be able to get anywhere near him. How the Cubs finish this season will not impact their draft status this June. Right. Either way, why should we care if the Nats get Strasberg then?

Except Maddux was a lot better at it then lilly. Maddux was a lot better at everything than most pitchers.

Does Ray Durham play 3B? I was looking at his stats and didnt realise quite how good he is. Hes always OPSing aound .800 and has some power, and he switch hits, which makes one wonder why did we give Aaron Milles a 2 year deal? -

If Fontenot stays horrible, Ray Durham would be a great pickup. He almost always OPSs around .800 and has some power, and hes a switch hitter to make Lou happy. Wait, why did why sign Aaron Miles instead of this guy?

I know its not fair to Marshall, whose been more than a solid #5, but whats best for the team is whats important. I really wish we had a spot for Edmonds. I wonder if he could still play 1st. Grudz, Eisley, and Durham are especially intriguing as guys who could come real cheap. If Hendry knew that these guys would probably be available on 1 year deals for about 1 mil at this point in time, I wonder he would have given Miles the contract that he did.

Fox plays outfield and both corner infeild positions, so why not put Fox in RF and Hoff at first where hes competant, so were limited to only 1 defensive liability.

Time to make Hendry look worse than he already does. before the season started you kept saying we should dump gaudin so we could keep patton Thats why Im not being paid 3 million dollars or whatever to make these decisions, and Jim is, He should know the difference between a proven major league pitcher and a guy who had a good spring training.

He should have been DL'ed to begin with. Yep. The Cubs medical staff has really baffled me the past decade or so. While its a good sign that they dont want to, and hes probably fairly close to returning, were at the point where it may have to be done regardless.
