The hunt is over. Now it's negotiations. We have no idea what's really going on in those. For all we know, they've long since moved on from McNutt, maybe even decided on the compensation. I don't see why people assume that the minute the negotiations are complete Ricketts is going to rush to Twitter or the nearest sportwriter. With the World Series beginning today, I wouldn't be surprised if Selig is making them hold off on any announcements. If we've learned anything over the past several months, Ricketts is a [expletive] ninja and no one other than him and one or two others within the Cubs organization knows anything. And chances are the other one or two will be sedated until Ricketts is ready for the announcement to be made.
