  1. Well, Edmonds is on my fantasy team (I didnt select him, my intenet was down for that round) so good for me I guess. Bad for Aardsma, he needs to go back to Iowa, I think Ryu would be a better choice.
  2. It was funny him running with the bat in his hands haha. I love it. Z was thinking, "Let's see you guys make the playoffs without your stud first baseman, CHARGE!!!" ROFL heck yeah why not, other people can take out our guy why not lol. Sorry that just conjured up quite an image, I can imagine that happening.
  3. LOL I dont think he took that atbat very seriously he was swinging wildly. Man Jaun is sucking tonight.
  4. Sounded like Wood was delayed again due to some tightness or whatever, thats great. *sigh* Wonder if he will pitch again for the Cubs, its just one thing after another.
  5. Maybe he's making up for bunting the first pitch of the game when everyone was expecting him to do so. I'd like to see the Cubs deal Pierre, Williams, Jones, Perez, Wiiliamson and Wood when he's off the DL in June/July. Go into rebuilding mode now? Hendry wants to keep his job, you know. He has to make a show of competing at least until the break. Didnt Hendry already sign a contract extension. Maybe rebuilding would convince Dusty to leave.
  6. You know things are bad when watching Greg Maddux watch the game is more entertaining than watching the game itself.
  7. Guzman gave up a bunch of HR his last time out I think, he looked completely dominate at time and then he would give up bombs, I think its just a matter of getting some innings under his belt.
  8. Yeah but this is the Cubs it would make way to much sense to call up Hill. Good to see our offense is rolling...
  9. Some strange, twisted, evil, sick part of me is causing me to want to continue watching this. Maybe just because I do enjoy watching our bulpen pitch. Maybe they should start this Novoa guy, he looks alot better than Rusch and Williams. *sigh* Welcome to the post D-Lee injury Chicago Cubs folks.
  10. they should walk Poohole, hell it cant get much worse anyway
  11. What a train wreck. Williams going to turn into Rusch. *sigh* man Im ready for Wood and Prior to be back.
  12. Im trying to stay possitive and everything but if we fall behind by 5 runs Im going to bed. Williams is sucking badly.
  13. Yeah no blue, the Cubs fans stayed home depressed.
  14. At least he made him throw alot of pitches before he did his usual swing and miss K.
  15. Because JJ is the new Barry Bonds didn't you know?
  16. No one is talking about Grant Johnson's outing? 7 shutout innings with no walks, that is great! Hopefully he can keep building on that.
  17. I think Tony Clark might be a good idea, AZ. is playing Conor Jackson at 1B pretty much every day now, they told him before the season they werer going to try to get him as many at bats as possible and kind of platoon him with Jackson but Jackson has been so good that Tony's basicly just rotting on the bench. Tony is not Lee but he would be a better option than what we currently have and he shouldnt be that hard to get. clark's contract is for 2 years. i don't want him. How much per year? He really had a good year last year and would be a nice stop gap. Maybe the D-backs would eat some of the contract for a decent pitching prospect. The contract is $2 million TOTAL! Like I said, it's clearly a deal that a player would take if he wants to stay in a certain city. I can't see him being traded.. You think he;d rather sit on the bench than play everyday for Chicago? I think your wrong.

  19. The one possitive that might come out of this is that the Cubs are so bad that Baker is not resigned and the Cubs get a top 1st round draft pick next year... hey Im just looking for possitives.
  20. Well, season over basicly. This offense was lacking when we had D-Lee now it is really pathetic. I dont see a trade happening that would replace Lee's production. Its going to be another year of following the minors, and hoping for better luck next year. This is just depressing as heck. This is probably the worst injury that could possibly happen. First Prior and Wood then the one dependable offensive force in the lineup is now gone for basicly the rest of the year. I just hope Lee can come back from this, wrist injuries can be huge for hitters. I hope they have an insurance policy that will cover his contract.
  21. Yeah I guess it could be worse Freddie could be playing LF and batting 5th lol I wouldnt put it past Baker.
  22. Gonna be another rough night offensively with Mabry batting 5th. I guess Murton should get a break every now and then, but Im not real fond of Mabry.
  23. ROFL *sigh* idiots Baker has faith in Neifi and Rusch too. I'm not holding my breath on any of em. indeed
  24. lol Get a load of this, here is what sportsline's fantasy analysis says about JJ: ROFL *sigh* idiots
