I agree. Fortunately, the trend is starting to shift as New York State has banned the use of metal bats in High School play recently. Baseball is meant to be played with wood bats. Yeah, but won't this hurt high school baseball there? I doubt that the inner city schools can pay for all of the wood bats the team will go through during a season. How much do wood bats cost? I thought they were in the $30 dollar range... Would it really make that much of a difference? of course it would. Did you forget that wood bats break?
I'm been watching gameday the entire game and he's had a few of those low 60's pitches. Hasn't been above 90-91 either actually, the last pitch to roberts was at 93 according to gameday
