    no, it's just that the cubs are a really good team that never thinks they are out of it and they put pressure on the opposing pitcher to close it out. they are just in a rut right now. the cubs will win this division...no question. our ace and a massive bat are out right now. it'll all come together again. i just hope they are hot as the playoffs approach.

    if they let parisi or villone pitch, it won't make it past the 9th. if it did go 20 innings, you know they would call up matt clement after one rehab inning in nashville and he'd pitch a complete game shutout agains the royals this weekend. or bring up brad thompson after getting shelled last night in nashville and he'd pitch 8 solid innings with flores striking out the side for the save.
