  1. I always look forward to the day when they announce the broadcast schedules, hopefully the regular season schedule comes soon.
  2. I had a really cool wallpaper for my computer that I can't find anymore, and I was wondering if anybody here had it. It was a picture of a bunch of cracked peanut shells and empty cups in black and white that looked like it was from the bleachers. Or if you have other cool Cubs related wallpapers that would be cool too.
  3. At MLBNetwork.com you can type in your zip code and it will tell you the channel MLB network will be on in your area.
  4. Could Hershiser look anymore enthused to win the World Series? He barely even cracked a smile.
  5. Things I Hate: 1. Frank Caliendo 2. That stupid Bon Jovi song they keep playing 3. Dick Stockton 4. TBS postseason coverage in general.
  6. Forget using an etch a sketch to do that, I wish I could draw something like that...Heck I don't even think I could google image search a picture that looks that cool.
  7. Tonight it's not going to be about what I'm wearing, but where I'm watching I was in my room for Derosa's HR last night, and then left to my friends house...The same place I watched last years playoffs, so far they are 0-4 at their room, so I've decided to friends tonight, I'll be alone in my room.
  8. Today I chose to go with my SEC Community shirt (South East Community) of which the Cubs are 12-3 when I wear it, by far the best record of any shirt, yes I have kept track all season, and because it's cold I'll be wearing the Cubs 2007 playoffs sweatshirt, the Cubs are 6-1 when I wear this shirt. I'll also be wearing the Cubs home franchise hat (88-58). This will be my uniform until they lose.
  9. The game is up on iTunes now, $2 for it is not bad and it's the WGN broadcast so for those of you like me who don't live in Chicago and can't watch the replay this is not a bad option.
  10. For some reason I just don't like wearing the "official" hats. My last couple of hats have been the Franchise hats, the latest one I got on Opening Day looks just like the home hat. I think I just like the backing out of the hats, the stuff that keeps the hat up behind the logo. IMO it makes the hat much more comfortable.
  11. I would think that Gaudin would also want a shot at cracking the rotation.
  12. I went at the end of July and I enjoyed the park, I went with my dad and brother who are both Yankee fans, the last time my dad had been there was before the renovations, and it was the first time my brother and I had been there. We got to the stadium at around noon for a 7:05 start and there were already quite a few people around the stadium. All 3 of us wanted to check out Monument Park so with that being a high target on our list we got in line at 2:30, gates didn't open until 5, but it was worth the wait. We were one of the first people in so we weren't rushed through, we got to watch about 5 minutes of BP from behind the wall. So the moral of the story is get there super early if you want to go to Monument Park, and Gate 2 is the entrance you want, which has a nice view of the new Yankee Stadium also.
  13. I didn't have any control over that, it was after D-Lee got hurt, and the Cubs were going nowhere fast.
  14. I took this picture when I went to Wrigley in 06, it was really cool I was no more than 10 feet away from Zambrano...I have some other ones with Wood and Prior that are pretty good if anybody is interested.
  15. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080810&content_id=3288645&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  16. Wow, that was a waste of 47 seconds of my life.
  17. With me being forced to record this game the Cubs in the last two seasons have been 5-0 when I am forced to miss a game and record it, and they have been some good games. 1. The Aramis walk-off game against Milwaukee last year (which I saved on DVD) 2. A game last year against the Giants against Tim Lincecum when the Cubs came back to win it in the 8th. 3. The last game of the season last year when Hill took a no-hitter kind of far into the game (why can't he come back like this) 4. The throwback game with Reed Johnson's walk-off HBP 5. Todays game. So out of those five, three were walk-off wins, and one was a nice come from behind win...Maybe I should miss games more often.
  18. Awesome, this made my day so much better. Where did you find that list? I'm in the Detroit market and according to every guide that I've seen I'll be watching the Yankees and Angels. I got it from the Awful Announcing Blog. Not sure where they get it from. ---------------- Now playing: Chimaira - Implements Of Destruction via FoxyTunes http://www.hdsportsguide.com/news/2008/fox-week-19-game-of-the-week/ Oh boy I just looked at TVguide.com and they say I'm going to get the Cubs/Cardinals!! This is great news since as of Thursday I get the local Fox channel and ESPN in HD the next two Cubs games will be my first in HD. \:D/

  20. For the all star events in Detroit they had a raffle type thing where you give them your e-mail and they let you know if you are selected to purchase tickets. I was selected to buy tickets for the HRD, but it was like the day before the actual derby and the seats were way up in the upper deck on the third base side. I don't remember how much they were charging, I remember it was too much to be worth it though. I'm glad I didn't go, Detroit got the shaft when they tried that world format for the HRD. Who wants to see Hee Seop Choi try and hit HRs out just because he's Korean?
  21. I'm pretty sure they just took him out for precautionary reasons, I think if there was anything really wrong with him they wouldn't have let him finish the AB.
  22. After this one blows over they are clear to play...where have I heard that before?
  23. Last year at the end of August in Detroit, it got delayed and they finally started around 1 AM. I almost went to the game, but decided against it as I had to move to school the next day and it's a good thing I didn't go I would have been up for close to 24 hours and having to carry stuff to my room all day.
  24. I would say that they've waited this long why not finish it, but with a day game tomorrow they probably don't want to wait much longer.
  25. And Hill has another start rained out, at least I'm assuming it was rain, all it says on milb.com is cancelled.
