  1. Glad to see Russell got through on 12 pitches. Man this San Diego team is awful. Although it's made a lot easier than you'd think because the color guy sounds a lot like Tom Servo from MST3k.
  2. Wow MLB.com doesn't even have gameday up yet.
  3. MLB Network made it look like the game is going to start soon.
  4. WOW. Howabout that Reed Johnson? BREAKOUT THE BROOMS On the mound for the nightcap: http://i.imgur.com/BSBNW.jpg Aaron Harang. Still ugly as hell. 3-0, 1.50 ERA, 18 IP, 0.944 WHIP, 16/5 K/BB http://i.imgur.com/yJwzR.jpg James "The Legacy" Russell. Also, have you ever google image searched James Russell? I might as well have just typed in "random old people". AS A STARTER: 0-1, 1.2 IP, 4 ER, 1/0 K/BB OVERALL: 1-1, 7.20 ERA, 5 IP, 1.800 WHIP, 5/0 K/BB Just win, COBS
  5. Dunno if it was mentioned earlier but MLB has assumed control of the LA Dodgers.
  6. Seriously though, Shark should have been a Wall St. exec.
  7. Shark has had a nice string of failing towards success as of late.
  8. Touche. In other news, that bottom strike just doesn't exist at all today, huh?
  9. Hahahaha, does Quade have ANY idea what he's going to do for the night game?
  10. Damnit. I'm gonna be walking back to my car during the Marmol inning. I'll put up the Nightcap thread when I get home assuming they win.
  11. Thank you Sean Marshall. Any chance he leaves Sean out for the 9th just to conserve the other arms?
  12. I'm thinking Shark for the last two innings. Honestly, I was half expecting this.
  13. I have to think the double switch was done with the intention of letting Marshall pitch more. It would appear you are correct, sir.
  14. The Padres offense is like 2006 Cubs bad.
  15. I stand corrected. On a related note, WOW Padres offense.
  16. Holy [expletive] they're going to walk in a runner to tie this game. Amazing work, Quade.
  17. FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
  18. Ball 3 was a clear strike, according to gameday.
  19. Holy tapdancing [expletive]. So instead of just going with Marshall to begin with, he went with a clearly horrible pitcher and another one who had problems last time out thereby leaving the Cubs with a scoring threat and still going to Marshall to begin with, all this before game two. This man is a moron.
  20. Yeah, I don't see why he doesn't throw Marshall, Wood and Marmol here and save the Grabow/Shark duo for Game 2. Because that makes too much sense. This is the game we need, especially with Russell pitching tonight. Definitely. Do what you have to do to get this game and then see what happens in the second one. A sweep would be amazing but a split at least gets the Cubs a series win. Between leaving Garza in and not going with the 1-2-3 punch, it really feels like he's already penciled this game in as over.
  21. Yeah, I don't see why he doesn't throw Marshall, Wood and Marmol here and save the Grabow/Shark duo for Game 2. It's like he's assuming the Cubs have already won this game.
