  1. 21 out of 30 is cool but I like to say 21-9, since June 3, it looks better. I wasn't going to say this earlier but what the hell? The Cubs current streak is on route to negating the 24-10 streak the Brewers put together earlier in the season (when they jumped out to a huge lead). If by some stroke of genius/good luck/great play they win the remaining 5 games before the Break, they will have gone 25-9.
  2. That seems odd...207 games in just over 130 years of baseball? Can that be right? Did we just play double-headers constantly years ago? Yes, MLB once had scheduled double headers (I believe many were on Sundays).
  3. I'm hoping the Cubs can jump on Chico early; he pitched 6 shutout innings in his last start but got a ND. Hopefully, Rich bounces back from his rough outing for this game and the future.
  4. Hmmm, something must be up with your provider. My onscreen guide says "MLB Baseball" at 11am on WGN.
  5. I hear ya, but they have a long way to go at 10 games under .500 and 7 in the loss column behind the Cubs (12 overall).
  6. Phillies lose on a Hunter Pence walkoff homer in the 13th.
  7. They were/are running a special free-view. If you are a subscriber, like me, you can view the archives for an entire year (I have access to all of the 2006 games through the beginning of Spring Training 2008--not that many are worth seeing again).
  8. WOW, the Astros tied the game on, what looked to be, a routine 6-4-3 DP to end the game with Carlos Lee running. It was a bad call. Charlie Manuel just got tossed.
  9. Come Astros, score here!
  10. Something is wrong here... I see it, I see it! Pictured would be Jason Bergmann. Damn Google, I'm on it... Edit: of course, I should have noticed that he was pitching with his RH. D'OH
  11. Remember this starts at 11:05am CT Our very own: http://minors.mlblogs.com/photos/uncategorized/hill_2.jpg Rich Hill, LHP 5-5, 3.49 ERA, 98.0 IP, 16 HR, 31 BB, 90 SO, 1.10 WHIP vs This guy: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_453889.jpg Matt Chico, LHP 3-5, 4.74 ERA, 89.1 IP, 19 HR, 39 BB, 47 SO, 1.54 WHIP Keep it Rollin' Cubs! :D
  12. That's my thinking as well. I want distance in the division (which makes it easy to root for the Astros versus the Phillies). I figure the teams in the West will beat up on each other.
  13. Langerhans swings and misses Cubs Win! Cubs Win! Cubs Win! 5.5 back Baby! Z with his 10th
  14. Kearns 1-4 with a homer vs. Howry Make that 1-5 :D
