    Yeah, I don't believe it. What self respecting Cubs fan would be caught dead at a Cardinals' playoff/WS game? Buehrle evoking the Cubs name is a way to get both (Sox and Cards) fans united against a common enemy.

    Yeah, I was surprised to see Waddle say anything positive about the Cubs. He's a big Reds fan and loves to poke fun at the Cubs. He also was Kaplan's partner on WGN Radio's SportsCentral (for you non locals). Waddle just accepted a job with ESPN AM 1000.

    I don't think they're excluding Murton. From what I've read and heard, Lou will have a number of lineups. I think this is exclusively for the days when both Floyd and Jones start. The whole thing is dependent on Soriano playing CF because if he can't, Jones and Floyd will rarely play on the same day. That is, if Murton is the primary starter...     I posted this earlier within another thread but I think this should be revisited because the word coming from Lou today is different than what we've heard previously... Trib Also here: Cubs.com It reminds me of LaRussa putting Encarnacion in the number two spot. Jones might hit well there because he'd get a lot of fastballs but it's more likely to be hit or miss. :lol:

    I think you can. I just signed into it on two different browsers. It's allowing me to watch two different games at the same time. However, I don't know how it will respond with 2 different IP addresses trying to use the product at one time. You and your brother might want to give it a try by signing up for a month. There is no contract so if it doesn't work you can always cancel without a penalty. what speeds are they recommending for each? i believe theres sites that will tell you how fast your connection is, if my connection is good enough i may have to give it a shot. edit: looks like they've got links to a meter and requirements on the main page. Yeah, sorry, I was just editing/adding that to my post above.

    The quality between the two is world's apart but whether or not you should spend for Premium wholly depends on your internet speed. The new MLB.TV Premium works best for faster connections (the 400k version is last year's quality, which was palatable but not nearly as crisp as the 700k they are promising in 2007). Mosaic is free with MLB.TV. It allows you to watch 6 games simulanteously although, you can only listen to one at a time. Mosaic's quality also depends on your internet speed. Edit: Premium can support speeds as fast as 1.5MB which is exceptionally clear. Again, the demo looks really sharp for me but I just upgraded my connection speed so that I can get Premium. I was using a Sony Ericsson aircard, in my laptop, previously but the speed wasn't fast enough to support the standard MLB.TV video without glitches. I now have the fastest cable internet and the video is very TV-like. Check your bandwidth and the system requirements on the MLB page

    While we're all speculating, I thought it was interesting that Piniella may be contemplating putting Jacque in the 2-hole when Floyd plays. Cliff would bat 5th in this scenario. Link

    Lou just said on Comcast SportsNite that he likes the idea of having two lefties in the rotation. Then he reiterated that Hill had a "leg up" on securing a spot. I think it's his.

    I think it's safe to say that Neal Cotts will replace Rusch as the long man. I also heard Wil Ohman this morning, on the Hit and Run show (The Score), reiterating as much when he was asked, jokingly, if he felt threatened by the acquisition of Cotts. I predict the 25 man roster will include Starters: C- Barrett 1B- Lee 2B- DeRosa SS- Izturis 3B- Rameriz CF- Soriano RF- Jones LF- Murton Bench: Floyd Blanco Ward Theriot Pagan Rotation: Zambrano Prior Hill Lilly Marquis Dempster Wood Howry Eyre Ohman Wuertz Cotts In my scenario, Miller isn't quite ready to start the season so he is placed on the DL. If he is ready, I see Pagan as the odd man out (although, that would mean 13 pitchers which is too many to fathom. If that happens, Wuertz may be in AAA because he isn't a longman and the cubs are committed to stretching Cotts during the Spring...) Novoa starts his season at Iowa. I could also see Miller being traded if he's healthy BUT that's only if the team is made reasonably comfortable by Prior's health status.

    MLB.TV is going to have a premium version this year with a picture quality "twice as good as last season." It is more expensive than the standard MLB.TV but if the demo is really representative of the picture quality, in full screen mode, it's worth the price. A least it will be for me. :D
