    I know this is an over-exaggeration (only 4.05 games), but WTH is going on?? This is NOT the same team that ended the "first half" last Sunday afternoon. Its like they've been body snatched or something. No plate patience. Very little timely hitting. Defense is close to the same, but this is not the same team that was either leading (or nearly so) every offensive category in the NL and in the tops of the whole MLB.

    Might as well continue on from last night, eh? Only a matter of time until we start flying out deep and the OFs making long running/diving/unbelievable plays. In fact, I think ARam gets robbed of a 2B+, leading off next inning, just to prove the point.

    Remember Chris24Young saying that we would probly pound Petit tonight?? We still could, but that 1st inning sure looked like a carbon copy of last night (save for a "loud out" to a deep part of the park).

    That's all well and good, but as I previously pointed out, 5 of those runs were unnecessarily poured on on a team who didn't score a run all game; sure those 5 runs completely killed ANY hope for the Astros, but in the end were pretty much meaningless. 6 meaningful runs in Houston [and 0 so far in AZ], total. I'm still [-( over that crap.

    God is on your side. If we try the same stuff tomorrow, the same results as tonight will occur. God was on their side during the NLCS last year. Don't interrupt my heat of the moment non-sensical rants with facts please. :P

    I'm really missing the first half right about now (or however many games were played prior to the AS break)...... Can't do it, but if you disallow the 5-run 9th yesterday, the Cubs have scored 6 runs in 4 games; and oh yeah, 3 of those 4 games were played in that bandbox known as MMP, and the other game played in AZ, a park that's not exactly known as the greatest "pitcher's" park in the MLB. Best. Offense. In. History! :thumbsup:

    Is Aramis on a personal mission to stumble out of the box at least once every game this year??? Jeez! Oh, and Rich Harden thanks the Cubs for a L and a ND after two staright 10+Ks pitched games. Giving up 1 and 0 runs, respectively.

How did...... - The Cubs hit 50,000 hard flyballs only to have them be outs? - 55 year old Randy Johnson, who kept missing the desired locations, shut down a team who's offensive numbers are supposedly pretty good? - How did what's-his-face hit a HR off Rich Harden? - and on and on and on God hates the Cubbies, that's how.
