  1. This team just doesn't even care right now. Pathetic.
  2. Stop getting our soapdropping hopes up, DeRosa! [-X
  3. And we've resorted to just throwing the bats at pitched balls. Literally. :rotfl:
  4. Combine that with Lilly slamming his glove, and I'm all set.
  5. Matters nothing, but was K1 to Aramis just a bit inside to anyone else?
  6. Watching the Cubs lose in HD is better? Honestly, even if I could get the HD broadcast, I wouldn't be missing it.
  7. Time to restart that wonderful X-innings scoreless streak.
  8. Every time I see Theriot have to wind it up and let it fly to nail a runner at 1st, I expect to see the ball go flying 10 rows deep behind the 1B.
  9. The whole damned team hit the snooze button at the time they were supposed to be waking up after the AS break.
  10. WGN shows college sports? They showed a CBB tourney a few years ago, one of the Wooden Classic deals. Thinking they've showed a Harvard/Yale fball game too, at least once.
  11. Welp, that wasn't the LEAST bit predictable.
  12. Oh wait, right. Setting up DPLee. Forgot he knows what he's doing.
  13. *wondering how that ball didn't find Petit's glove as he was spinning and back-handedly stabbed at it*
  14. I'm thinking WGN is just code for a sister channel to TV Land. If it weren't for the Cubs and Bulls, and rare college sports they show, I'd never watch WGN America.
  15. Hit just a tad softer and would have been prophetic.
  16. Cubs @ Dbacks 2008 (so far) is way too eerily similar to Cubs @ Dbacks, October 2007. And of course now Drew can score on an IF hit or an error now... it'll happen too.
  17. Now its time for Conor Jackson to hit a weak pop that sails out. Again.
  18. Just like it was scripted. Its not funny anymore. Its not sad anymore. Its not anger-inducing anymore. Its just accepted.
  19. And, of course, since Petit isn't pitching, that wasn't K2, but B2 instead.
  20. Cubs actually found a gap; AND scored a run??? NO!! Stop it! That can't be possible!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Except for Theriot's 2B, every time the Cubs seemingly tag a ball, it either hangs up or a Dbag makes a miraculous play to turn it into an out. There's bad luck and then there's what been happening to the Cubs this series (so far).
  22. That bleeping strike zone is just the utterly worst one I've seen in a while!! What works for Petit doesn't fly for Marquis.
  23. Is that actually possible? I'm seriously lacking ideas here. The Cubs have hit some balls this series that should have been HRs, yet they end up on the warning track. This is demoralizing. If that ain't the danged truth!
