We gotta get Hill some runs and a win... or this could kill his psyche (*hopefully* assuming he keeps the Rox to a low run count, while he's in). {HOU done in 5th, but so should be Suppan (nearing 120 pitches for the night), and now up 4-0; going top 6}

Suppan over 110 now, maybe near 115, and HOU still batting in bot 5 - guys on 1st & 2nd, 2 down. Ausmus up

I blame this ALL on Bob Brenly (or was it Casper??)... they brought it up that DeRosa committed 4 errors in one game as a Brave there in Colorado a few years ago... freaking jinx!!!

We so screwed ourselves by not getting any extra runs off of Fogg in the 1st... I called for an 8-1 L early this morning... sticking by it currently.

Loretta with a single-turned-triple in HOU, 1 down and guy on 3rd. Good thing that HOU is playing hard, cause we're gonna need MIL to lose to keep pace (I'm unpleasantly thinking).

I think I understand, but umps make me question myself... its supposed to be where the ball passes through the zone that determines whether a pitch is a ball or a strike, right - and not where it ends up (where the catcher catches it)?? If so (where it passes through/near K-zone), why is it umps most the time appear to make decisions on the ending location than when/where the ball is going over the plate?

Well, we got Rich his one run... all goin downhill from here.

He got squeezed on 2 pitches. Ball 2 or 3 to DLee, that woulda been K3, that WAS K3 on Theriot, and ball 3 to Fontenot was the same pitch as was called K1 in his AB.

And now Hill can't find the K-zone.... UGH!

Hill just about took out our lone consistent offensive threat* for the rest of the year on that throw!!! (*at least until ARam and Soriano get back)

It was 37, or even 38... IOW, ALOT of pitches in the 1st inning.

Dangit Kendall!!! Really coulda/shoulda made Fogg pay! (although, to be fair, the ump was about as much to blame as Fogg in that one... just wonder how bad Hill/Cubs BP is gonna get sqeezed!!??)
