    Yeah, I'd prefer Len & Bob. But look on the bright side, at least it's not the Brewer bunch. They are just abysmal. Cubs were within grand slam range all week in miami. What a quote, eh?

    What about Kendall's numbers do you like, especially batting 2nd? Soto should be starting. Well, it could be that Kendall's career Ave/OBP/OPS against the Reds is .318/.408/.873. Or he is .324/.398/.834 @ the GABP. Or .310/.393/.791 career hitter in September. I'll give Lou the benefit of the doubt on this one. How about not worrying about last September or the September before that? How about looking at the awful September that he's had so far this year? Yeah, you're right. Let's take the much smaller sample size so you can continue on with your rant. Enjoy your game, ace.

    *speaking to the Brewers, fans, & announcers/production team* Seriously, this s* is getting old. I know you want to be where the Cubs are, but GIVE IT UP! Cubs have left the door open TWICE in a ROW now, and you didn't take advantage... want someone to blame, look in the mirror!! There's one great thing about this curse obsession-- it's taking attention from the real task at hand and giving them a false sense of security. So if they lose two more games in a season where they have gagged for the entire second half, we are the division champs. And I can't wait to see the looks on their sorry fans faces when it happens, because you know the TV camera will be showing the game if/when we clinch.

    Know what, I think we do deserve it. After years of lousy breaks and watching how the Cards won it last year, I don't care how bad we look winning a title. Just win baby-- get to the post-season & win 11 games and we're on top of the world.

    ALRIGHT-- 3 OUTS TO GO. This is definitely NOT a team that you want to be trailing going into late innings. Even with Cameron or Bradley, the Padres are a tough nut to crack. Hey, nice looking butt for "The Comebacks" came up on my screen.

    Still, we need to get our heads out of our asses QUICK. We can't keep counting on the Brewers to tank. 2 out of 3 in Cincinatti wins it. If we can't beat the Reds minus Dunn and Griffey, then we don't belong in the major leauges. This is true. But with the way Milw. is playing and the dogfight SD is in, I really believe 1 stinking win in Cincy gets us in the playoffs. And like St. Louis last year, maybe we'll play like we have nothing to lose and get hot again. The way I see it, we're due against other division teams, since we had a losing record against the East & West this year.

    And there's the difference between losing with a 2 game lead and losing when behind by 2. We're frollicking right now and Brewer fans at the game have about 40,000 chins in their hands. Sweet.
