The playoff picture suddenly seems a bit clearer. The D-backs are ending the unbelievable Rockies run and the Mets appear to be toast. It might just be between SD & NY for the last playoff spot.
66 Don't really think it matters how many pitches he's thrown. He's definitely going to be on a short leash. Wouldn't be surprised to see Sheets pitch next inning. I could see that. They are basically in win-at-all-costs-panic-mode right now. BTW- did I mention I hate Hopper?
I don't think he was even looking at the pitcher. He was as suprised as he!! that they even threw over there. With all the games he's won, an occasional brain fart can be expected. He's practically a senior citizen.
Now I'm really pissed @ the Brewer announcers. Maddux just got picked off 1st for the last out of the inning & the play-by-play tool says, "in the history of the game I don't think a player with a shorter lead has ever been picked off" KICK THE BREWS ARSES FOR THEM. :evil: :evil: :evil:
