Geoff Blum. How about that. One of the untold stories of the 2nd half: Sheets' downturn. Sheets hasn't been awful, but he's been far from great. Always seems like he's really good early on, then has one bad inning. Fine with me though. That's why I chose my wording carefully there. Since CC became the ace, Sheets has been more like the 3 than the 2. That's what I meant. He certainly hasn't been the 1a that the Crew was hoping for. Agreed. That said, he only gave up 3 to the Padres though in his last outing, he shut out the Natspos prior to that, and 2 ER through 6 IP in a loss to the Braves.
