    maybe. but the cubs have hit significantly more homeruns at home (64 in 71 games) vs. the road (47 in 65 games) Understand that...that was just one of the reasons I gave...and my position is that power isn't everything.

    Terrible lineup. Soto should be in there and Murton should be in RF. We gonna probably lose 2-0. Furcal and Pierre will be stealing on Kendall all day everyday. Keep them off the bases and it's not a problem, is it? As for Kendall offensively...he's above his career averages across the board since coming to the Cubs....and is posting an OPS just shy of .800 -- Given the crap we've gotten from the catcher position before Kendall, I'll take it gladly!

I'll bet you there are scores of us who thought the same thing though...with such a small turnover in talent from year to year, it was extremely hard to believe that the Sox could go from a 90 win team to a 70 win team...That said, I love every word of it, and will gladly eat crow!

    Everything besides the power numbers are up this year vs. last -- BA, OBP, Runs, BB....Power's down...but some has to be attributed to injury....some has to be attributed to lack of playing time (Jock), and deservedly so...and some has to be attributed to the fact that the wind has blown in this year at an nearly unprecedented rate.

    The Pirates beat the Cards with the Pirates ACE on the mound The Astros beat the Crew with the Astros ACE on the mound... You'd think the Cubs would have a good chance of winning with their "ACE" on the mound against someone who's on the downhill side of his career...but no, our "ACE" sucks! This is a huge loss! Now that the Pirates and Stros can throw the rest of their crappy rotation out against the Cards and Crew...I don't think there's much hope for the rest of those series for Cub fans. And don't think it gets any easier for us...remember that guy Penny?? Yeah, he goes tomorrow.. I thought some rookie was going tomorrow in place of Wells? That's Wednesday -- it's Penny tomorrow, rookie on Wednesday
