The question is not whether he deserves to be. It's pretty clear he probably won't deserve it. However, he's played most of his career in New York and Chicago. He's been to seven All Star games and will probably go to a few more. He'll probably finish with over 400 career home runs. And the biggest thing he has going for him is that the voters will consider his accomplishments in comparison to other leadoff hitters. He'll be considered one of the best leadoff hitters of all time even though he doesn't really fit the spot. So, I'm going to say yes, he'll be a Hall of Famer when all is said and done. He shouldn't be, but he will.
