  1. Yeah, I don't get the negativity here. The only negative here is his age. Some are suggesting Mike Cameron hasn't been very good recently, and that's just not true. Comments like "he's out of his prime if he ever had one" are absurd. Cameron is a useful baseball player.
  2. IMHO Cameron would= the 2009 equivelant of Jeromy Burnitz I think Mike Cameron is quite a bit better than Burnitz with the glove and the bat.
  3. I can't tell if that's serious.
  4. Alright. In the future could you please email me updates so I can get them on my phone more quickly?
  5. How is that his own teammates have basically called him a douche if they really didn't feel that way? His teammates let him have it. This is not some conspiracy agains't poor Milty. I don't think that's a fair description of what his teammates said. I agree with this suspension, I just think your arguments and reasoning are mind numbing.
  6. Noone in the Cubs organization is going to come out and really speak their true feelings on this situation right now. If they think the suspension is BS, they arent going to admit it. Its going to be all company speak. Sure sounds like Brenly spoke his mind plenty. Right, because he was in the same opinion of Hendry. Noone is going to speak out against it is what I was meaning. If they spoke agains't it, they'd be telling lies. Yep, everyone who disagrees with it is lying to themselves. Come on.

  8. That's not a fact at all. Oh, but it is. Has Milton Bradley performed above or below expectations? Heck, he's well below his career norms, which ends this debate right now. It really doesn't. Milton Bradley, on the field, was okay. There's no way around that.
  9. Did Len have anything to add about the situation? I'd be more interested to hear his opinion.
  10. For those of us without WCIU, what'd they say?
  11. Do you not like Milton Bradley?
  12. As someone watching on Gameday, I'm curious to know how Colvin looks. I know the line looks good, but does he look comfortable? Is he having good at bats?

  14. I find it hard to believe we're going to find a better fit for the bench than Fox by trading him.
  15. I'm not one of the massive DeRosa fanboys, but I think this is disingenuous. DeRo's been derailed by a wrist injury and that's still better than Bradley relative to their positions. Before his injury, DeRo was having another great year.
  16. Zambrano would absolutely waive his NTC to go play for Guillen. And that trade(which I don't buy for a second) would be an absurd heist for the Cubs. Zambrano would have to be crazy to want to play for Guillen. Guillen would call Zambrano every four-letter word (in spanish) in the book instead of being treated with kid gloves by the Cubs. The sportswriters would have a field day. You obviously aren't aware of the kinds of things that Z has said about Ozzie Guillen and the White Sox in the past.
  17. Only if they plan on sucking more than they did this season. That's already quite clear.
  18. Very interesting. Could the Cubs be considering him as an option to start next year?
  19. Interesting views from several Cubs players. No one is particularly sympathetic to Bradley.
  20. Bradley can complain about the media setting traps for him all they want, but since it's been happening to him for so long you'd think he'd get a bit better at avoiding them. It sucks that it's come to this, but I'm not going to get too mad at Hendry. You have to take a stand every once in a while.
  21. It's "if worse comes to worst." And as for Hendry's flaws, I tend to fall in the camp that believes he listens to his manager too much. That is a flaw of him, not of the managers, as he is the one that is charged with putting the team in the best position to win. Still though, it's quite obvious many of Hendry's moves have had Dusty or Lou's fingerprints all over them.
  22. Mark DeRosa's value to be at this point is mostly sentimental. I have no problem saying that my liking him has every bit as much to do with the way he plays the game, his personality, and other generic hard-working white guy cliches as it does with his on the field performance. Does that make me want him back with a wrist injury? Not one bit. I hope he goes to an AL team and never plays the Cubs as an opponent again.
  23. Wait, didn't you already admit you were just a Cardinals fans "screwing with us?:
  24. I want a schandwich and some schoda.
