  1. I think Z is on the verge of becoming underrated. He was still quite solid last year. He's not what he used to be but he's still pretty solid.
  2. Ok, who had page 19 of the opening day game thread in the "When will Erik call BALLGAME first" derby? Do you think the Cubs will win this game, IMB? Because if you do I'd like to wager one month of BAN on it. But you're a little man who never backs up anything he says so you won't take me up on it. Well you said you were leaving so I'm not sure you have any room to talk about not standing behind what you say. I'm sorry.... was I talking to you? Excellent.

  4. No. Because this isn't his fault, you know. Those balls weren't hit all that hard. Or the sun was in his eyes. Or he's depressed. Or something. Come on.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if Z's lost his composure.
  6. ESPN has finally switched to the cubs. Just in time to see some awful baseball.
  7. Iowa has got to be the worst state as far as blackouts go.
  8. As for Hart love, I never experienced it. I always thought he was a marginal guy. Exactly like pretty much everyone else here.
  9. I love how there's no response to the Hart thread showing you pretty much made up love for him. If you're going to throw out crap like that least say something other than "go cubs," which is apparently the new "na na na I'm not listening!"
  10. As I stated above, the "experts" don't know squat. Ken Rosenthal (Foxsports) has the White Sox winning the World Series. What's so outrageous about that? If he picked them to win the AL Central, that's not outrageous. If he picked them to win the WS, it is outrageous. Restating it doesn't really answer why it's outrageous.
  11. lol, you've multiple times mentioned imaginary Kevin Hart-loving NSBBers in a condescending manner the last few days. "Multiple times"? Are you kidding me? One mention of how a number of posters were upset over the Hart and Murton trades at the time. They were very marginal players. As condescending as some posters here can be, I am shocked that thought even gets noticed here. People need to chill man. NO ONE was upset over Kevin Hart or thought he was super, that's the point. The fact that you've mentioned these imaginary people several times in the last week in some "I can't believe these people thought that way" fashion is not only hilarious, but makes your "why can't we talk about baseball without making it about the posters" appeal hypocritical to say the least. You just want to fight don't you? Sorry, I refuse to bite. I am happy Sliva is pitching well and looking forward to a good season. Are you serious? He doesn't want to fight! He's calling you out for something pretty legit. Literally no one was sad to see hart go. Some were mad we traded for Grabow at all but that's a different animal.

  13. I think Packers-Vikings increased as a rivalry this past year because of Brett Favre, but on the whole Bears-Packers is the biggest rivalry in the NFC North and it isn't even close. Honestly I think only Bears fans think that. I doubt you'd find many Packers fans who'd agree, and I'd say that goes back before Favre jumped ship. Then we are getting back to the argument about two teams being good at the same time equaling rivalry. I think you'd have a hard time finding people arould the nation who believe Packers-Vikings is bigger than Bears-Packers. In fact I'd challenge anyone to find some sort of list which says it. I guarantee you'd find plenty of Packers fans that think that. Some of them have already posted in this thread. I'm not sure how you seem so confident that everyone thinks Bears-Packers is bigger when I'd bet my life on it being pretty much the opposite at this point.

  15. Cubs would be screwedddddddddd if Fontenot and THE RIOT were hurt!!!
  16. I really thought that was the case. I wonder why they missed that and got Nomar, who also wore 8 only for a game or two.
  17. Or at least I think it's new. Basically, it shows the numbers someone has worn throughout their career as well as a small shot of the uniform. Take a look at Derrek Lee's page for a good example: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/l/leede02.shtml I think it's pretty neat. However, it lists Aramis as only ever being 16. Am I crazy for thinking he was something else for his first day as a Cub? Maybe 19?
  18. That's definitely what I remember.
