Catcher's the only position that I've ever been willing to concede any kind of "defense can be just as important as offense" argument to. We need to upgrade at short, a position where that doesn't apply. Bowen and Hill call a fine game and are both excellently defensively, so there is no reason to say that it is more of a position of need than short. -

Looking at Frank's numbers, there's really no way you could justify keeping him out of the Hall. It's not like he's a compiler; he was perhaps the best right handed hitter of the 90's.

Wins are sexy and Z has nine of them. That's about the only way to justify it. -
It was in the press conference, earlier today, for anyone that didn't catch it. It took me a bit off guard. No reason? Really? Am I a bit crazy here? His numbers look decent at this point, but can Lou really push TLR to get Z on the roster? I know they're friends, but come on.

Lou seems confident Z will be an All Star. Given how he's pitched lately and the overratedness of wins, I wouldn't be surprised if Lou pressures TLR to get Z on the roster.
