  1. ALL STAR!! gotta love those 88 OPS+ all stars Come on, it's the Pirates, who else would go (Snell, Gorzelany, Bay)? Both Snell and Gorzelanny have been very good, way more worthy than Sanchez. That's why I put their names. Anyway, no history tonight. How about he just gets us through seven?
  2. Regardless of what he ends up doing or not doing, he looked incredibly trashy in the first inning. Nice play DeRo!

  4. I'd love to see someone take a machine gun to Lilly, he could probably dodge every single bullet. That was amazing!
  5. That's what I am hoping for-let's get over half their bullpen in the game tonight, and then they won't have as many available when Redding pitches tomorrow. That was just 37 pitches by Traber in the last inning-he can't last much longer if at all. I'm also hoping for a complete game from Lilly. That would give everyone in our pen except Marmol two days of rest. That would be great but he's already at 60 pitches But I guess if he keeps doing what he is doing they can't take him out can they.................. I'm gonna go ahead and proclaim we don't have to worry about anything historical happening tonight. It's Ted Lilly. Yes, it's the Nationals. But it's Ted Lilly.
  6. Stop falling behind these crappy hitters, Lilly.
  7. 07 Nationals = 06 Nationals = 05 Nationals
  8. The Nats would have a run already if Barrett was catching.
  9. If Lilly walks Nook Logan he should be sent to the minors for a month.
  10. Lee getting hit reminds me; when is his suspension going to start?
  11. That ball would've been gone in more places than Wrigley.
  12. I'm all for giving Cedeno another shot, but let's not pretend that his success in in the minors will definitely translate to the bigs. Don't forget how awful he was last year and the early part of this year.
  13. Pagan a poor defender? He doesn't seem that bad to me.
  14. If we had two Matt Murtons and two Sean Marshalls, I would trade all four for Saltalamacchia. That would be ridiculous, Murton is patient at the plate and hits alot of doubles which will turn into homers, he also is a smart baserunner, not fast but smart. Marchall's curve is very good and he can hit a dime 60 feat away, his control is astounding. That's absolutely laughable. The Braves would never take Murton + Marshall for Salty, so we'd be the dumbest team in history not to do it. And Marshall's control is not "astounding" by any means. He walked 59 in 125 innings last year, which is just not acceptable. He's obviously been a lot better this year, but "astounding?" Seriously? I think we've got another user to add to the "unrealistically high on Matt Murton" club, and now the founding member of the "unrealistically high on Sean Marshall" club.
  15. The sweep against the Marlins will haunt us forever.
  16. Yeah, I agree. I was thinking the most likely scenerio is the Cubs package both of them for someone like Shawn Green. Green is at least producing competently. I doubt the Mets would be up for that trade.
  17. They can't have BB (unless it leads to the return of Steve Stone)!
  18. Losing Hill shouldn't be a concern. But he kept the rally going against Colorado.
  19. It's a beautiful day, take advantage of it. 8-)
