  1. Jesus Z, why are you so afraid of this guy? He's not going to kill you.
  2. And we're still up 4-0 after 2 and a half. Joe West.
  3. Looks like the offense is disheartened and will stop hitting.
  4. ??? If he's running hard, he could have been awarded home. ground rule double, he can only advance 2 bases Not true.
  5. YOU'RE GOSH DARN RIGHT WE'LL PLAY UNDER PROTEST! THAT'S BS! Dad gummitt! MIGHT AS WELL STOP HITTING HOMERS WE WON'T GET EM CALLED ANYWAY!
  6. Carlos not in the mood to win, I see.
  7. Ick. I hope Derrek was wearing elbow protection.
  8. He can only play 3rd I think so no, absolutely none. He's also played games at first and short in the minors. Not saying he's good at those positions, but at least he's played them. At the very least I'd imagine he can handle first competently.
  9. Hopefully Z goes 7, because I don't want Marmol to have to pitch today. His arm is going to be toast.
  10. Per rotoworld: Ensberg has been available in trade talks since the winter, with apparently no one especially interested in gambling on a rebound. The Astros will keep trying to move him now, but he'll probably end up becoming a free agent next month. The 31-year-old Ensberg hit .232/.323/.384 in 224 at-bats. He was actually at .319/.373/.447 in 47 at-bats this month, but that's partly because he was playing only against lefties. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/home_MLB.aspx Any interest?
  11. Eh, I'll be at Crossroads Guitar Festival. Thankfully, this game will be out of sight and out of mind.
  12. Hm, good observation on their parts. I'd have to see a replay.
  13. Wait, wait, wait. Let's forget about Jones and talk about Soriano. If he doesn't completely butcher another play in left the Reds don't even get that 4th run. He's currently 10th out of 19th qualified outfielders in OPS. Just behind Pat Burrell and just ahead of Josh Willingham. He may be a 136 million dollar mistake, but he's our 136 million dollar mistake damn it!
  14. With Harang going tomorrow, I'm just hoping we don't get swept here.
  15. Jones gets a lot of the blame for this one.
  16. no way, not even close Not even close? I can't think of one. Granted every loss counts the same, but I can't think of a bigger one in terms of hertbreak factor. And the Reds win. This has been the worst day I've had in years, and the Cubs did nothing to help.
  17. Blowing it after taking the lead would be ridiculously painful.
  18. Rightfully so. Despite us tying, the Reds now have all the momentum.
