It may be a reach, but if no one wanted to trade up to their spot they didn't have much choice. They really needed OL help. That is why you should never enter the draft with desperate needs. You need to get the BPA, Brown is hardly the BPA and some scounts even had Staley ranked higher.

Was Thomas ever even invited to NY for the draft? You don't just show up anymore, the NFL invites you to be a part of it because of the Aaron Rodgers and Leinhart incidences of the past few years. Yes, he was invited to the draft.

the fact someone gave him 5+mil per year is beyond me. btw, espn insider is so worthless...this exact info was posted in the tribune yesterday. That is all insider does, scavenge local beat writer stories and re-sell them.

That was my point, more or less. The Cubs should start winning series if the law of averages holds up. But it's not a given - as Cleveland proved last year. Maybe we can foward those stats to Mr. Selig and he can up the Cubs a few victories? :?

I would hope he would make those plays. He really did not have to range into the hole to make a play. Everything was hit right at him. Im still not that confident with him at ss. Are you confident with Cesar Izhoribble at SS? Not trying to pick on you directly dude, but I really can't stand the philosophy of "good" defense making up for a pathetic bat...I really can't.
