  1. If I was a genious, I would make alot of money.
  2. ugggg...Dump JockStrap now please. I'm fed up.
  3. That bunt attempt was a terribly desperate move. I actually felt bad for the guy. I feel worse for the fans that have to watch this waste of space on their teams roster
  4. Soriono appeared to run back on his own, it wasn't Quade.
  5. In fact it is that simple. If you throw in all the BS excuses people like to give Hendry, you complicate the story. The fact is Hendry has done a poor job. I don't mean to be flip, but you just restated your opinion without providing any reasons why it should hold up under logical scrutiny. I can make an argument why it is fair and accurate to take into account the state of the team at the time the GM takes over and why it is hard to fault a GM for catastrophic injuries. Can you make an argument for why it is more fair and accurate to judge a GM on one statistic? If you need something to backup the claim that results are what matters in sports then you just don't understand sports. There's nothing else to say. Hendry has been in charge for many years. And before he was in charge of the whole thing he was in charge of the minors. He had as much money and resources to work with as any GM could possibly expect, and he failed. Those people who are willing to accept mediocrity as a goal are satisfied with somebody like Hendry in charge. Those people who want to see a championship are not. It's quite simple. No need to muck it up with the nonsense. There is no logical scrutiny that can tear down the argument that Hendry has done a poor job. There is only BS and lies. Sure there is. Let's say you spent all evening cooking a really good dinner for your friends. And just before they arrived, I showed up and smashed up the plates and poured tons and tons of cayenne pepper on everything. When your friends arrive, all they see is a messy table and terrible tasting food that is so spicy they choke on it. Do you deserve any credit for making a really good meal? BS and lies? Simple and obvious logic says otherwise. It occurs to me that your mind is painfully closed and made up on this issue. I'm done talking to you about it. It is his fault for not keeping you(Dusty Baker) out of the house.
  6. I totally agree with you on that point. The Cubs are never going to win unless they grasp the concept that scoring more runs than the opposition is the key to the game. It sounds ridiculously stupid because it is just that. When you are disciplined enough to draw a walk as a hitter, you are going to score more runs. I don't care what anyone says, and I guarantee that a team would be better with Adam Dunn leading off than Juan Pierre. Don't blame Hendry for this, blame him for hiring Gene Clines and Dusty Baker. Ever look at Clines' career statistics? Might as well hire Borat to be your hitting instructor. And who allowed Baker to function as manager of the Cubs for 4 seasons?
  7. lol..props to Vernon..that is awesome. That reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry went to that womens office to heckle her after she heckled him during his comedy routine.
  8. He has had plenty of chances, and failed.
  9. I feel that he is a bad GM because he has been given one of the top payrolls to work with in baseball and his teams have not won. It's as simple as that. I think it's incredibly stupid to try and market "good" or "bad" next to moves and then decided how a GM rates. GMs should be judged on the results their team produces. Any GM who has been at his job for 4+ years, whose entire roster is stocked with players he is responsible for acquiring, and who has had a payroll continually in the top 5 of his league, should have a perennial winner on his hands or be considered a failure. If you asked me what I expected of Hendry once it became clear he was going to take the head job, I would have said multiple 90+ win seasons, division titles and playoff appearances. The fact that he was given all the resources he had, and the team's record is under .500 during his rein, is truly despicable. I don't care if he traded for Lee or signed a bum. What matters is the bottom line and the bottom line on the Hendry era has been disaster. ^^^ +1
  10. So I take it you'd have done Gasol for Deng and Gordon? Paxson knows and has said he wants an inside scorer. I said in my post I was glad he did not do the Gasol deal.
  11. How do you figure that? He had a post scorer in Curry up until two years ago. A lazy fat worhtless post scorer that is. I'm not a Curry fan by any means, but he's a very efficient post scorer. It's about the only thing he does well. I've known him since his HS days...I still remember when his team couldn't beat a bunch of 6 foot white kids from Schaumburgh..lol

  13. The dymanics of the NBA draft are much different. Once a player like Horford has been deemed a top 5 caliber pick, they rarerly fall, baring something major.
  14. I'd be willing to bet my life that the Bulls do not select Jeff Green. My money right now (pre-lottery) is the Bulls will land in the 7-10 range and get Roy Hibbert. Spencer Hawes, Yi Jianlian, and Al Horford are other possibilities depending on what draft pick we get. I don't think Horford will make it out of the top 5.
  15. We will probably wind up drafting Jeff Green. :?
  16. Still? When was he? I've heard him comment many times that this team still needs an inside scoring presence. Talk is cheap. He needs to go out and actually do it. and who were all the GM's who were offering these inside scorers at the deadline? Oh, right, just Jerry West, who wanted the two best players on the team I'm glad he didn't do the deal for Gasol, but he has had 4 offseasons now to get a post scorer.

  18. I wonder if Paxson is still under the deluison that the Bulls don't need an inside scorer?
  19. Please let us get Al Horford in the draft next month. Please.
