  1. After every save (consecutive) you should remove a little bit of the red cirle/cross through. Like in Major League. ok
  2. Not a chance what about carmel... aka carlos marmol being the closer. I'd say Weurtz, but they hate him. My guess would be Howry(at least he would get the first shot)
  3. In other words, you have no legitimate response besides backhanded insults and pointless hyperbole. A) Being down 2-1 after 6 innings is not a 100-1 deficit. B) Anyone who feels otherwise, is an idiot. C) You have done nothing but indicate the game is over after a 2-1 lead. Therefore, it is overwhelmingly clear you are in fact an idiot. (fronthanded enough for ya?) namecalling = bad. let's not do it. I don't make up the rules, if the first three things are true, then the 4th must also be true. Dang, its Friday! Relax everyone!

  5. Getting in on the quote party! I think I ruined it.
  6. With this bunch, might as well be 100-1. Well they scored one more, and we scored 2 more. Too bad the score is now 101-3.  Get over yourself. Tying up this one game doesn't negate all of the other games where they've played like being down 1 or 2 is impossible to come back from. Scoreboard. 4-3. Get over yourself. OH MY GOD!!! WE'RE ACTUALLY ERASING OUR STUPID LOSSES!!!! HOW WRONG I WAS!!! Yeah, single game samples are great. It's why we're scoring 10 runs every game. One game, two games, or ten. It doesn't matter. Being down 2-1, and assuming we're out of it is idiotic. Except that how many games this team has lost when there's a 1 or 2-run margin shows that it's not. This game is by far the exception. Acting like this somehow the norm or indicative of something we've seen reguarly this season is simply wrong. Being down 2-1, and assuming we're out of it is idiotic. Getting in on the quote party!
  7. hahhaah, I should listen to the Sox broadcast more, Hawk hasn't said anything now for like 5 minutes, what a little beotch! Worst play by play man in Sports.
  8. On the Sox broadcast, Hawk Harrelson is crying like a little girl!
  9. The first step IMO, is to somehow make sure we "Win" the lottery. Not that his series is ending, is Tony Soprano for hire?
  10. you're assuming the cubs are smart enough to draft wieters, which clearly they aren't. josh vitters will make casey mcgehee expendable, however. The Cubs might not be. But Wilken is IMO. All depends on how much clout Wilken holds concerning this first pick.
  11. I blame the Cub fans booing for Patterson's poor start this season.
  12. Folks, when you rely on a guy with a career WHIP over 1.5 to be your closer, you are asking for trouble. Sure, Dempster got off to a decent start this year, but you knew his long term trend would eventually surface, and it did. He has always had a habit of working behind in the count and walking guys, and on top of that, he gives up more than 1 hit per innings pitched. These aren't exactly the traits you look for in a closer. Dempster is like many other closers that are 1 year wonders. The advance scouts get a read on these guys, and figure out a way to make life miserable for them. With Dempster its easy - all you do is make him throw strikes, and chances are, he will get himself in trouble by walking guys and then give up a hit or two because he turns to toast. Yesterday was obvious, first Dempster was looking down at the mound, like that was the reason he couldn't throw strikes, then he complained to the ump on a pitch 6 inches inside. If that ain't a sign a guy is blowing up, I don't know what is. Yep.
  13. Wieters will make Barrett expendable.
  14. At 9? Why? Long shot to be around then anyway. Can't score
  15. Pie continues to rake, which is good. He will have to hit .700 to get another callup probably.
  16. What got me was when he was crying about the mound or something? Ummm.....Guzman used that same mound to throw a great game, same for Weurtz and Ohman.
  17. My personal realistic wishlist at 9: 1) Roy Hibbert 2) Mike Conley 3) Al Thornton 4) Spencer Hawes 5) Julian Wright Not bad. My nightmare of course would be Noah..:vomits:
  18. If the NBA draft lottery doesn't work out for us and we fall out of range of the big names such as Oden, Durant, Wright, Horford, I would not at all be opposed to drafting Mike Conley. We could use a guard who is lightning quick off the dribble.
  19. oh well....Good season guys! Finals next year, book it.
  20. It was only a matter of time. Dumpster is a "novelty". Mediocre fastball, mediocre breaking ball. Giving up that type of lead is not acceptable and he started vs the bottom 1/2 of the order. Weurtz should be the new closer effective immediatly.
  21. Please, no http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/9672/nope5.jpg in this series.
