    May I say... I know nothing about him except the info provided in this thread but let me be the first to say he would become my favorite position player on the team... Welcome to the Fukudome!!!!!! If only Haray was around to take a stab at his name.

    To be fair, Sergio has a 2.25 ERA in 40 innings this season with a 1.10 WHIP and a .235 BAA. I don't believe he will keep up that pace, but if he does, thats another knife in the heart from the Juan Pierre trade.

    I get mad alot when some "lesser known" pitcher owns the Cubs, but it happens to alot of teams, we just notice it because we follow the Cubs day in and day out. Yesterday: Sergio Mitre held the D-Rays 3 Runs of 5 hits Kason Gabbard held the Braves to 2 runs in 5 innings(MLB debut) Bradon McCarthey(who has been terrible so far) gave up 4 hits and 1ER against Houston Tyler Clippard of the Yankees won his MLB debut vs the Mets giving up 1 ER over 6 innings

    How they won the WS last year still blows my mind. Just get in the playoffs and go from there I guess. Their outfield is utter trash and has been for quite some time now.

    Peavy has already struck out 5 Cubs. He got them when Piniella was jotting a potential lineup on a knapkin. He is good.

    He wasn't. Chris Robinson was traded for Neifi, the Cubs drafted Jake Fox in the third round in 2003. My bad. :oops: Still a good trade IMO

    Actually that's just a single combo. A double would entail two combinations. Not if you're talking fastfood, where a double combo could simply be a double cheeseburger combo meal. I'll trust Jim's expertise in regards to that issue.

    I'm not ready to crown their ass, we took 2-3 from the Brewers first week of the season, all starters played in the series, who takes the first week of the season like its BullS**!, BULLS***! THE BREWERS ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WHERE!

    When Hendry pulls off the "double combo"(Losing Z this offseason and not trading him for anything in return), Price be will be quite handy.

    Is there another Phil Hughes that I'm not aware of? Because the Yankees wouldn't trade theirs for 10 Carlos Zambranos. There is a Phillip Hughes, and a Phil Hughes. Same pitcher, or two different ones...you decide.
