    Ned Youst is a solid baseball man. Kasper has been around the game from broadcasting and knows OBP and Slugging are keys to an effective offensive game. No one is fooled anymore..not even the Cubs fan base. We know garbage when we see it. From Dusty's little league philosophy of "no - Walks" To Hendry's Dumpster Diving aquistions the latest being Iszturis.... Cub nation is fed up. Fed up with this crap. We are the best fans in the world and we have the worst GM in pro sports and the worst manager in pro sports guiding are beloved Cubs into the toilet!

    I think there is 2 options for a masher LF Carlos Lee - who is a borderline DH Alphonso Soriono - will he be worth the $$ and will be be willing to play LF again

    If Dusty is extended I will be attending the Cubs Convention when Hendry is giving his press conference...and most likely I will be escorted out by Chicago Police. my post is dead serious. I love the Cubs and I am sick of this jag-bag Hendry tearing apart the team.

    Pagan in CF is an interesting proposition...however I would need a larger sample size than his season's current stats. He needs to play everyday IMO, but so does Murton. Its a prediciment....because no way can you pay Pierre more than 7-8 mill a season.

    I also have no idea why people are still high on Guzman. other than a decent relief appearence a few months back what has he accomplished? His numbers haven't been that great in Iowa either. Overhyped.

    just curious. Gonna go with Marmol. Best fastball, plus a pretty nasty slider. Arguments could be made for every one. Marshall #'s would be alot better if not for 2-3 bad outings, but he has given the Cubs a ton of solid starts. Hill has been dominant his last 2 starts. your thoughts?

    Gonna throw my two sense in here for what its worth. I think as Cubs fans we are too hell-bent on tradition. I mean..what proud history do we want to hold on to? A near century of complete fulility and failure? I mean (explative deleted by moderator), you could assemble a team each year for a hundred years simply by throwing darts, and you would probably have more playoff appearences than the Cubs have given us. We need to kill tradiiton IMO. A. New Statdium B. Get rid of guests 7th inning stretch crap C. Put a stop to throwing the ball back after hr. /rant Moderator warning to poster: The use of vulgarity is against posting guidelines.

    He might be no name, but he's not some hack. His career minor league ERA in 3.10, WHIP of 1.18, with a K/9 of 9.14. He had an ERA of 2.35 before his callup, 0.94 WHIP, and a K/BB of nearly 4/1. wasn't his era in the majors above 5..of course the cubs are an aa offense at best/.

    wow..unbelievable...the cubs so far have managed 2 hits off some no-name pirates pitcher. this team is truly pathetic. how does that happen!
