    Just curious, why do you prefer Theriot to Bynum so much? They are the same age and neither is truly a prospect anyway. Have you watched Bynum single handely LOSE 2 games for the Cubs the past week.

    I have given up on Dempster....he can take his funny Haray Carary impersonations to the local comedy club but its time to dump this turd off the team.

    He's probably going to get called up no matter what. At first I was against calling up Pie this year. After watching this last series vs. the Pirates.....I'd say do it. just bus up the whole team...I'm sick of watching the current crap on the field.

    Might as well go for the high draft pick. What else is there to play for? can someone fill me in who knows alot by amautuer baseball. Lets say we are picking top 3...is there a saviour out there? An Arod? A Joe Mauer? A Johan Santana? or are we pretty much F'ed. As of now (and this definitely will change by next June), the top 3 prospects look like LHP David Price (Vanderbilt), RHP Matt Harvey (high school) and C Matt Wieters (Georgia Tech). Do any of those players you just mentioned go by the title "Messiah"

    I mean this 100%. When the Cubs blow a home game next series.....The fans have a right to throw trash on the field. I hope everyone does. Make Ryan Dumpster clean up some trash, since he can't clean up a game.

    Most real closers were average starters, or worse. There's nothing wrong with converting a guy like Dempster to closer. The problem is giving him a 3 year contract. With a no-trade clause no less.

Curse my Dad for taking me to Cubs games when I was 5. This team is a drug. They are bad for you..yet you can't stay away. They will play good for a week, month, or even now and then have a fluke season to strengthen that addiction. But in the end..it leads to dissaster.

    The good news: we are finding out in garbage time that Dempster should not be a closer option in 07. the bad news: Hendry will replace him with someone as equally as bad. Or give Kerry Wood 8mil/season to be our closer.

Rush's agent: We will take 500K a year Hendry: 750K Rush's agent: Ok 750K Henry: 1 mil Rush's agent: Ok 1 mil Hendry: 2 mil Rush's agent: Ok, 2Mil. Hendry: I bid 2.5 mil Rush's agent: SOLD!, to the idiot GM for 2.5 mil

    He did. He got shelled. Trade value down the toilet. When did Rusch had trade value this year? The Mets were offering a bag of baseballs I heard. It might have been an effort the boost the sagging bra sales market on the east coast.
