I remember hearing a while back that Cashman of the Yankees was all set to sign Vlad as a FA, then Steinbrenner, on his own, went out and signed Sheffield. Good one George.

Marshall does not deserve it over Z. Marshall is better skill wise and stat wise hah, you must be out of your mind...do you really think marshall has better skills than Z? Neifi was a demigod with a bat for almost a solid month. Yuck. Really? I don't remember that. I still stand by my opinion, however that Neifi was a decent 25th man. The problem was that he was used more that a 25th man should be used. When Neifi first showed up with the Cubs, for 23 games at the end of the 2004 season, he hit .371/.400/.548. And then he picked up where he left off and hit .368/.403/.559 in 68 at-bats in April of 05. Once May came though, it was over (although he did have a very good August of 05 as well). LOL..I remember that. Fools gold.

Looks like Pie has a foot in the Lou Piniella doghouse already. I really thought he would get a chance against a below average righty like Dave Bush today. It really looks like Pie trying to show more paitence up there, but he really has been getting some jabbed with some calls of late.

Because of Cedeno's dominance at AAA, I would say it may be more imperitive to get rid of him(Izturis), moreso than Jones.
