    If there are team out options that is fantastic. I have a feeling that a team out option was the only reason an 8 year deal was authorized. I highly doubt Soriono will be a Cub for 8 years. I'm hoping for 3-4 kick ass seasons out of him though, and a World Series....as you can see, my ludes haven't worn off tonight...GO CUBS!

    I think its safe to say, Hendry is not a Drew fan(for whatever reason) I don't think you will ever see him in a Cubs uni. Did the Cubs even pursue Drew a few years back?(after he left Atlanta via FA)

    From what I saw last year Soriono was very raw in LF. He has an absolute cannon for an arm, but would make some silly mistakes out there. The ball is in the court for this new coaching staff. He has the tools to become an elite defensive outfielder. Lets hope Lou's staff has a commitment to coaching and improving player's skills. The last staff certainly did not.

    I just don't see Bernard holding off Bradley on the depth chart. He still has a bright future though. 2 years from now Bradley and Berrain will be our starting wideouts.

    I have to disagree. Izturis sucks DeRosa is largely a question mark Soriano Murton Lee Ramirez Barrett DeRosa Izturis Pie no thanks. I have faith in Pie. He would do the job IMO.

    I know he's not popular, but that seems to be an extreme way of getting rid of him. LOL...may bad. Me too drinky tonight.

    Did the Bears run any plays out of the shotgun today? One thing I didn't understand, this week they talked about the shotgun, and how they didn't have success with it vs the Giants. For Pete's sake, they ran 2 whole plays from that formation! How do they know they can't have success from it. IMO, you lineup in the gun, and run a quick slant to Bradley. That play is there 9/10. He has the size to fight a jam, and the short area quickness to gain seperation. It will be only a matter of time before he permantly takes the starting job back from Berrian. I am really stoked to have him back in the mix, he has such a good mix of skills. BEARS WIN! CUBS GET SORIONO! WOOT! FREAKIN GREAT DAY!

    I think the best move now would be to jump Jacque and put Pie full time in CF in 07. We have enough offensive fire to protect him in the lineup.

    Consider this, in 2014, 17 million will probably be a bargain for a 38 year old CF with declining skills.

    Co-sign. Too many people expect Hendry to sign people like Soriano to 4 year deals, and trade crap like Roberto Novoa for something worthwhile. Co-sign -DCF

    I'm not being sarcastic. He isn't worth 8 figures. Hell most players in baseball are not worth their contracts. He is overpaid, and probably overrated, but still, match him up with Lee, and Aram...and we have some major thunder in the lineup now.

    for crying out loud, I'm the biggest Hendry critict of all, but what is with all the complaining. We needed another bat. Yeah, I would have prefered Drew, but I'll settle for Soriono. The Cubs finally ponied up the $$$ for a top of the line guy and people are bitching. Amazing.

    umm...Its a joke. I have quite a few friends who are Sox fans and even they call him Judy. A joke that ranks up there with some of the other I have seen. Well the title has been change, so life goes on. Any thoughts on the trade rumor?
