I asked Ray King to sign a cheeseburger once. He didn't think it was funny. I lucked into some seats by the glass once and spent the entire game asking Koharski if he wanted another donut. He finally laughed in the 3rd period when my voice cracked.

[sigh] I remember the good ol' days, when we used to have pro Hockey in Chicago. The Montreal v Chicago Stanly Cup finals was one of the all-time great series. Yeah..... the Hawks beat 'em in the semi-finals 4-2 in '61, after the Canadiens had embarassed us the year before, 4-0 !! I'll have to take your word on that, before my time. I was referring to 1971 and the 7 game final starring rookie Ken Dryden. :cry:

We're watching the game on different networks if it makes you feel any better :lol: I think one of you should post the alternative universe version wherein the Cubs have a real manager, with a real lineup, etc.

Several years ago I was part of a group that pledged Notre Dame $2 million a year, if they kept Bob Davies. I sugggest we take up a similar drive to pay the Cubs if they'll get rid of Dusty.

Would you really call that "swinging"? :cry: Well.... the 3rd base umpire did..... what should I do ?? I'd suggest using an asterisk since apparently everything that has taken place over the last 8 years or so will have a permanent asterisk attached to it.

In a devastating rebuff to the Dusty Baker theory that walks are bad because the runners clog the basepaths, the Cardinals draw FIVE walks in the fourth inning, all five of whom score as the Cards rally from an 0-6 defict to take the lead 8-6. Six Cardinals have walked and all six scored. Clearly Dusty needs to go to St. Louise as their batters are in sore need of his teaching.

What a startling number of assumptions your comment makes.Why would you think Dusty and Clines would know how to read an email? know what an email was? have a computer? know what a computer was? ever have heard of a computer? Your only hope is to draw them a picture and keep it simple.
