What about the fact that it was still an easy touchdown catch? I didn't say that the plan was for it to be underthrown. All I said was that it's not a big deal in that situation if it is. You seem to want to apply a WR's skillset to a RB. He didn't leap for the ball and catch it like Terrel Owens because that's not his, ehem, Forte. Orton's job is to put that ball on the money, and he failed as usual. Bottom line, that play was more Orton's fault than Forte's. That's my story, and I'm not changing it. Orton's junk Jon. You know this. This has nothing to do with Orton being the right QB for the Bears. I have no desire to see Orton play over Grossman. My point was that the individual play was not nearly as bad as others made it out to be. Forte didn't have to jump or do anything special to catch the ball.
