  1. I can't say I'm a fan of that, though I'm not surprised at all that Gaudin won't have a shot to be added to the roster later on.
  2. I do believe that going to Dodger Stadium, seeing a Cubs playoff win, and experiencing a rain delay is your idea of the perfect day.
  3. I highly doubt that they cancel orders automatically and slightly less highly doubt that they'd manually cancel it later on.
  4. Oh, well. You may want to wait 5 minutes. Does it say in the email that the delivery method is print at home? The only other option would be will call.
  5. Awesome. Where's the seat?
  6. Pairs are going to be much tougher to reserve than a single, which is hard enough. It looks like the opportunity may have passed for now, though. UMFan, are you sure? I thought it was email Thursday and on-sale on Friday.
  7. It looks like there may be a single or two floating around right now for game 1. It'll probably take a lot of refreshing and resubmitting, though.
  8. Yeah. It's behind the 200 level, so all the way in the back of the lower level along the ramps and fence. There are a lot of partially obstructed spots because of the pillars and you won't be able to see much of the scoreboard. I've never actually had SRO, though, so hopefully someone else will chime in on where the best spots are. I would think that they'd be near each base since you'd be closer to the field than if you were directly behind home, but I don't know.
  9. The main SRO section is the very back of the 200 level. They used to have SRO in front of the 500 level for big games, as well, but I don't think they do that anymore. You'd have to get there early to guarantee a decent spot that's unobstructed.
  10. The validation code lasts a couple of minutes, I think. I would keep hitting f5 + enter. Each time, it would either say no tickets available but show the seating options or it would say error (sold out). Either way, you keep hitting refresh or resubmit until you either get tickets or the validation code times out and you have to enter a new one. Again, it took 40 minutes for that last one. It was a lot of refreshing.
  11. 222 in the back. Both singles that I got are, actually. And the pair that my brother lost were a section or two over. were you choosing 1 and best available? I was able to type the captcha a couple times but then threw right back into the other screen saying no tickets I was doing best available for 2 for a bit, but then just 1. It worked for my brother for 2, though. The first single I got took about 5 minutes, which was right after I made my first post. The last one I got took about 40 minutes of resubmitting. I wouldn't try any other option than best available next time.

  13. Just now got another for game 1 (single)
  14. I can't believe he got a pair to game 1 (after a bunch of you already posted, by the way) and freaking lost them.
  15. my younger brother got a pair for game 1, then proceeded to lose them because he couldn't remember his password and mlb.com gave him a technical difficulties message when he tried to create a new account.
  16. It took me about 5 minutes. Couldn't get a pair, but did get a single after 5 minutes.
  17. Just scored a single for game 1! Looks like Game 2 might be available, too.
  18. And game 2, but can't reserve.
  19. Guys, those options for game 1 are back.
  20. Two big omissions. The first is Wood's HR in game 7. As bad as that game was, that was a moment that I'll never forget. The second would be the near HR that Aramis hit in game 5. It would have been a 2-run HR, but I can't remember if that would have given the Cubs a 2-0 lead or tied it 2-2. It was a low line drive that couldn't have been foul by more than 10 feet.
  21. Wow, it seems like only yesterday when my friend and I were saying that we should let Briggs walk because we had Jamar Williams waiting in the wings. JW and LB play weakside LB, so Roach didnt skip over anyone. HH is just struggling, so roach is being looked at as his replacement on strongside. those two pos really arent as changeable as they first might appear. The article mentioned that Williams was capable of playing both outside spots, as well, and was rather disappointed with the decision.
  22. Not press conference related, but damned if I'm going to start a new thread for it. Apparently MLB is putting up ads on the padding down both lines in the corners.
  23. Nothing happened this morning. All 3 games still say sold out. By the way, if anyone wants to automatically check for updates to those pages, I found an easier way: -Install Check4Change Firefox add-on and restart -Go to http://javascript.about.com/library/blright.htm, right-click on "enable right click," and bookmark it -Open up one or more of the games -Go to bookmarks and select "enable right click" -Highlight some or all of the red sold out text -Right-click on the text, select Check4Change, and quickly set it up You can use the following links for the 3 games: http://frontline.purchasenow3.tickets.com/buy/MLBEventInfo?pid=6336215&roomid=5 http://frontline.purchasenow3.tickets.com/buy/MLBEventInfo?pid=6336227&roomid=5 http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/MLBEventInfo?pid=6347813 The third URL is different but works just the same. You could also take the ID # and plug it into the URL format above. Doesn't matter.
  24. Got 4 $10 seats to the new years eve game against the Magic, late February against the Rockets, and March against the Pacers. That was a lot easier than last year.
  25. NU grad Nick Roach has apparently skipped over Jamar Williams and will get more reps with the defense with Hillenmeyer struggling.
