  1. Just wanted to give folks a heads up that there are some good seats available online for the Sunday game. I just pulled up a pair in section 124. It's supposed to be 63 and partly cloudy Sunday.
  2. The Cubs said today that Prior will indeed start for Iowa in Albuquerque on Thursday and will look to throw up to 80 pitches.
  3. wonder why he only threw 34 pitches when he just got done throwing 90+ last week. That was the plan all along. They only wanted him to get in a light workout to get ready for Friday. And for the record, either the AP or Fox Sports corrected the spelling of "Kerry."
  4. Prior feels great and Kerry threw great:
  5. Yup. Nine is indeed fine. 91-78 after the three from Piatkowski.
  6. Prior officially went on the 15-day DL today. More notes from the game:
  7. Well that shut my mouth. The Bobcats go on a 17-2 run and tie the game at 24 at the end of the first quarter. What happened to the Bulls' shooting? Started 7-7 and then went 4-16. Yeesh.
  8. And 22-7 after that three from Hinrich. That was the sixth or seventh turnover by the Bobcats tonight.
  9. Oh, how I missed Hinrich's defense. No Deng tonight, though. Curry update: He'll stay in the hospital for at least several more days until the doctors set a plan to treat him. He's in high spirits, at least.
  10. 4 runs and 67 pitches from Prior today, so he got in his full workload. He gave up 5 runs, walked 3, and struckout 5. Hopefully he'll feel good tomorrow. Not sure if his performance will play any role in the decision on whether or not to DL him.
  11. 102-90. The Bulls outscore the Cavs 14-2 in overtime to extend the winning streak to 8! Now go T'Wolves.
  12. Their biggest lead of the game comes in OT. Go figure. That's the dagger. 11 point game with 2:16 left.
  13. Wow. The Bulls with a chance to extend the lead to 7 if Tyson hits the FT!
  14. Gordon never really had a chance. And because he was so far out, you can't risk sending him to the line if he tries to get a shot off. Boo Kobe.
  15. Brilliant play call!
  16. More importantly, did you see Antoine Walker's watch during the halftime show? Wow. It's Ben Gordon time...
  17. He's been a game-time decision for the past few games, I believe. They could use him tomorrow night when they host the Cavs on TNT. Saturday night's game will be on the Superstation, so back-to-back games on national TV.
  18. 6-8 from 3 point land and 22 4th quarter points to lead a comeback win. I don't know what you're talking about.
  19. 102-99 the final thanks to one Ben Gordon. I'll have to watch the highlights on the news tonight. Ridiculous. It may not have been pretty, but the Bulls win another without Hinrich (and this time, without Curry, too).
  20. 18 4th quarter points for Gordon! He's hit two circus shots since the 2:00 mark and a three to give the Bulls the lead. He then drains one from 6 feet beyond the arc!!!!!!! 101-97 with :21 left. 21 4th quarter points for Gordon!
  21. Apparently Chandler was ejected earlier. Curry is out not because of his knee, but because he's sick. 93-93, under 2:00 left.
  22. They're tied with the Bobcats at 47 at the half. Hinrich and Curry are sitting this one out. Harrington, Davis, and Piatkowski are the top three scorers for the Bulls.
  23. Good news that he's feeling fine today after throwing on Monday. Unfortunately, the plan of keeping him in Mesa to start the AAA game makes sense. Still a chance, though. And maybe Guzman could take his place Saturday... :-k
  24. It may not have been a pretty 4th quarter, but the Bulls extend the streak with a 94-86 victory over Memphis. It was down to a 86-84 lead with under 3:00 left.
  25. Prior moves to 5-0 in career simulated games as the news is good. Santo said he was smiling ear to ear in the clubhouse afterwards: 4 innings, 50 pitches, threw his entire repertoire, everything felt good, everyone who saw him pitch said he was great. And while he's still on schedule to pitch on Saturday, it has NOT been determined whether he'll start in Las Vegas or if he'll stay in Mesa to pitch the AAA game (Wood will start the AAA game on April 3rd, as was previously reported). Let's just hope he feels fine tomorrow. EDIT: Dusty: Little apprehensive in the first, opened up after that and threw the ball "real well." He felt pretty good about it and so do they. Hoping he won't go on the DL and they have to wait and see how he feels the next two days. If he goes on the DL, he can't pitch in Las Vegas. If he's feeling good, he'll probably make the trip.
