  1. I think it was already mentioned, but Dusty talked about the scouting report on Tejeda in the pregame show. It wasn't what the players are doing right now. Should I not even start to hope that Lee gets the day off tomorrow?
  2. Which will be the #1 reason he could be out of the starting job soon. Dusty hates his HR cut.
  3. Yes. Some bad defense (including him), but he doesn't have much command in and outside of the zone.
  4. We acquired him from Boston with a PTBNL for Jimmy Anderson.
  5. It's happening. DeMuth's terrible behind home plate. I'll look closer, but I don't recall DeMuth missing much. And that 3-0 strike Williams got with the bases loaded was definitely up and away. Got a break there. I've counted about three or four pitches so far in this game from both pitchers that looked pretty good, but called balls. But as Bob said, that's how DeMuth calls the game. Small zone. Walker got a borderline high pitch called a strike on him, but it seems Williams has gotten a few more calls (especially since the Phillies aren't chasing as many pitches...).

  7. And now Neifi makes a terrible defensive play. Come to think of it, what was Lee doing? Why did he stretch so early? Bad play by both guys to cost the team a run.
  8. If someone has any idea what Ramirez and Williams were doing on that play, please let me know.
  9. Williams missed badly with several pitches in that AB. That was just a meatball.
  10. He's complained twice about being tired and Dusty hasn't sat him. Everyone knows his shoulder hurts and Dusty hasn't sat him. It's not Lee's fault.
  11. And Williams costs himself an out...
  12. Oh man. It looks like Lee is hurt again.
  13. He's behind the plate two straight games? That never happens. As bad as he was at first base.
  14. Please not be as bad as you were last night, DeMuth.
  15. Again, though, they weren't "steroids." All MLB would say about (most) of the minor league suspensions was that they stemmed from violations of MLB's substance abuse policy. They wouldn't even tell players like Craig what they tested positive for.
  16. Not a bad game for Marmol, either: 6 IP, 5 hits, 2 runs, 3 walks, 2 strikeouts
  17. West Tenn.: RHP Carlos Marmol (3-2, 2.97) vs. LHP Josh Habel (1-3, 3.98) Daytona: LHP Yorkin Ferreras (0-3, 7.52) vs. RHP Chris Honsa (3-3, 4.33) Peoria: RHP Jesse Estrada (5-9, 5.09) vs. RHP Ryan Webb (4-10, 4.42) Boise: RHP Matt Avery (1-1, 2.49) vs. ??? Mesa: LHP David Taylor (0-0, 0.00) and/or LHP Mark Pawelek (0-3, 2.45) vs. ???
  18. Unless his off-season surgery doesn't go that well, I don't see how they could deny him a spot in the rotation.
  19. Ugh. Nomar juuuuust missed a game-winning double. Just foul by third base. Nomar K's on a check swing appeal and he is not happy... Jaxx lose.
  20. Finally! Montanez leads off the ninth with a HR. Greenberg coming up with the tying run in scoring position with one out! He grounded out in his only AB. Adam walks on 4-straight! He's the winning run and Sisk is going to PH. Bah. Sisk popped up on a 3-2 pitch. It's all up to Nomar...
  21. Interesting. Jaxx down 4-2 after 8.
  22. Sweet! Nomar grounded out to second on the first pitch in his 4th PA.
  23. How many games can you listen to at once? Thanks. :D I've done three before, but I got that from the box score. Ugh. Only 1,866 fans at Pringles Park...
