  1. Wells gives up a 2-run HR in the 7th, but the I-Cubs lead it 4-2. Mesa trails 1-0 in the bottom of the 8th. No score in Peoria.
  2. Restovich extends the Iowa lead to 2 with a solo shot. Scoreless through 6 in Arizona. And not surprisingly, Kendrick is getting the start at 2nd for USA over EPatt.
  3. He was offsides, but another great header.
  4. Hernandez is done: 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 2-4 GO-FO Holdzkom in now for Mesa. Wells has been great so far for Iowa. 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K, 62 pitches. Still 1-0.
  5. A Fontenot RBI single puts Iowa up 1-0 after 3. Hernandez is pitching well for Mesa so far: 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K
  6. Renshaw's final line: 2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 3-1 GO-FO. One of the hits was a double. Hernandez gave up 2 hits but no runs in his first inning in relief of Renshaw.
  7. Restovich Ks swinging to strand a runner on third. Jake Renshaw (professional debut?) with two scoreless innings so far for Mesa. They're scoreless in the third.
  8. Theriot and Pie (on a 2-0 pitch) single to leadoff the first, but Fontenot grounds into a 4-6-3 DP.
  9. Good. I really didn't want France winning on a bogus PK. Nice header.
  10. That was pretty bogus.
  11. Wow. I didn't think that was necessarily a yellow on Zambrota and now a dive gives France a penalty kick. Don't like this.
  12. Wow. Henry looks really dazed.
  13. Hopefully Randy can build upon his very good outing in relief.
  14. And don't forget to watch EPatt at the Futures Game (also known as the only All Star weekend festivities I'll be watching) starting at 3 central on ESPN2. It'll go 7 innings.
  15. Mr. Michigan-despite-graduating-from-Northwestern managed to mention Chicago twice in ten minutes in the pregame show, including a mention of the el and Wrigley Field.
  16. Two Monday Night games (@ Arizona and @ St. Louis) and a Sunday night game (vs. Seattle).
  17. Thanks for reminding me. Have u had any experience/success getting general public tickets? I can imagine it being quite difficult with 8 games and about 20,000 tickets per game available. Haven't tried for the cheaper seats. I know that there were some games last year where you could get the $200 seats even after the season started. I haven't been down there since 2001 when I got six tickets to the Tampa Bay game at roughly face value from Gold Coast Tickets a few hours after the SF win and then 3 playoff tickets two nights before the game. But I'm certainly going to try this year, especially for the home finale. I'll be using the money that would have gone towards going to some Cubs games after May.
  18. 13 days until Bears tickets go on sale.
  19. Rooney picked himself up a 2-game suspension.
  20. Soto delivers and the I-Cubs win on a bloop 2-run single! All of the singles in the inning were oppo. The I-Cubs improve their record to 43-45.
  21. Montanez Ks swinging on a 2-2 pitch. It's all up to Soto.
  22. Coats grounds into a 3-2 FC. Montanez up.
  23. McGehee with an RBI single, everyone moves up 90 feet, Coats up! Augie in to pinch run at second for Hoffpauir.
  24. Deardorff and Hoffpauir follow with singles. Bases juiced, nobody out for McGehee, who is 2-4 on the night.
  25. Fine, here's the revised one: http://www.jonmdavis.net/piechartrecreated2.jpg Restovich with the leadoff walk on a 3-2 pitch.
