Restovich extends the Iowa lead to 2 with a solo shot. Scoreless through 6 in Arizona. And not surprisingly, Kendrick is getting the start at 2nd for USA over EPatt.
Hernandez is done: 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 2-4 GO-FO Holdzkom in now for Mesa. Wells has been great so far for Iowa. 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K, 62 pitches. Still 1-0.
Renshaw's final line: 2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 3-1 GO-FO. One of the hits was a double. Hernandez gave up 2 hits but no runs in his first inning in relief of Renshaw.
Restovich Ks swinging to strand a runner on third. Jake Renshaw (professional debut?) with two scoreless innings so far for Mesa. They're scoreless in the third.
And don't forget to watch EPatt at the Futures Game (also known as the only All Star weekend festivities I'll be watching) starting at 3 central on ESPN2. It'll go 7 innings.
Mr. Michigan-despite-graduating-from-Northwestern managed to mention Chicago twice in ten minutes in the pregame show, including a mention of the el and Wrigley Field.
Thanks for reminding me. Have u had any experience/success getting general public tickets? I can imagine it being quite difficult with 8 games and about 20,000 tickets per game available. Haven't tried for the cheaper seats. I know that there were some games last year where you could get the $200 seats even after the season started. I haven't been down there since 2001 when I got six tickets to the Tampa Bay game at roughly face value from Gold Coast Tickets a few hours after the SF win and then 3 playoff tickets two nights before the game. But I'm certainly going to try this year, especially for the home finale. I'll be using the money that would have gone towards going to some Cubs games after May.
