    This is going to be an especially long game if the refs won't call 3 seconds. NU won't be able to do anything defensively with Stiemsma just standing 4 feet from the basket.

    Seriously, who the hell is Wilson? Backup lineback who's a regular on special teams. He's pretty decent on kickoff coverage.

    According to Lovie, Wilson is expected to play.

    Rod Wilson was placed on the injury report for the Bears with a hamstring injury. He's listed as questionable and did not practice. Bradley was removed yesterday. For the Colts, Jason David (ab) and Robert Mathis (back) were added and are listed as probable. David, Mathis, and Harper did not practice today. O'Neil and Sanders are still listed as questionable.

    Looks like Harper missed practice again today. Harper said he has some pain yet will still play, but Dungy wasn't as optimistic. Harper is the only player whose status is in doubt for the game.

    That was a bad loss for the Cats, but they have also stuck with UW and OSU at home for most of those games, so it's not like they are always that bad. I didn't say Illinois can't win that game at NU, just that U of I is going to have to play better than they have been playing to win in Evanston. If the Illini have the same effort they did at Purdue, NU will win. We'll have to see how it plays out. I still think Northwestern will win at least one out of Illinois and Indiana in Evanston.

    Just about every sports journalist still believes that a single game should be won by the best team and should determine the best team. So if they think one team is better, they'll give the other team little or no chance of winning. Pretty stupid, but it works for them.

    Bradley is the only Bear on the injury report. He's listed as questionable.

    I think I had my first sports-related dream last night in which the Bears lost either in the Super Bowl or in the NFC Championship game...to the Eagles. Kinda weird. But I'm pretty sure that's my first one. I don't think it's going to hit me until Saturday evening. Sunday morning and afternoon are going to suuuuuuuuuck.

    For those going out Sunday evening in Chicago, the predicted low for Sunday now is around -3. According to the NWS, this weekend is supposed to be the coldest in Chicago during February in 10 years and the low wind chills are supposed to be 20 or 30 below zero from Friday night through Monday.
