  1. Gratuitously pats himself on the back. Wow....nice call. Never thought that South Florida could pull that off.
  2. If Z homers here all will be forgiven.
  3. "The real race starts after you eat a Pirogue" hahahaa
  4. Score of the day: Western Kentucky 87 - West Virginia Tech (huh??) 0
  5. In a 3 way tie, the team with the best head to head against the other two teams has a choice. They can either A) 1) let the other two teams play a game on Monday, and then they travel to the winner of that game OR 2) have to beat both of the other two teams, but both at home. Or 3) Have to beat both of the other two teams, one on the road and one at home. Not sure why any team would choose (3), cause if there's no big difference in your road and home records, you'll probably pick (1). If you're an amazing road team, you'll definitely pick (1). And if you're an amazing home team, you might pick (2). So, yeah....no real reason to pick (3) unless you have a drunk GM.
  6. I believe 3 way ties come down to record against each other, the Brewers would lose out and the team with the better record between the Cubs and Cardinals would take it. No, there would be two playoff games to determine the winner of the division. The whole point of MLB tiebreaking scenarios is to not exclude a tied team from the postseason based on some random statistical "first tiebreaker, second tiebreaker, etc" rule. MLB always uses playoff games to determine which team goes to the postseason and which team(s) gets left out.
  7. The one and only Steve Stone fine. How you?
  8. Duke vs. Virginia is the game I'm most looking forward to!
  9. *bad images of Cesar Izturis spraying balls all over the field*
  10. Strangely, I agree. Sometimes the closer might not even be the best pitcher to face the last three hitters, from a statistical point of view. And yet, teams trot them out there every time just because they are labeled "closer."
  11. Cubs and Brewers have the same record, Cards are 1 game back. This is what September is all about. People are just getting riled up over a painful loss still fresh in their memories.
  12. Tied for first, and in first by percentage points LOL Eh? Cubs and Brewers have the exact same record right now.
  13. Are the Cubs the only team in the league that realize that the Cards are a crappy team? Sheesh, they shouldn't be winning this much.
  14. He hit a HR and posed like was Manny Ramirez or something. He strutted halfway to first base like he was on a catwalk or something.
  15. Ramirez has such a violent swing....it scares me sometimes.
  16. James Loney and Tony Clark; same person?
  17. Another reason why Theriot should lead off.
  18. 1-0 cubs Thanks. What inning is it? The proper response to this question is: Nuthin 'nuthin. Whose winning? That's mine winning, thanks.
  19. About what? Tell us please? Sweet we get to listen into Scully thats awesome the perfect game? 29,000 people and a million butterflies. Geez, how did he turn such phrases on the fly?
