  1. So then you have no problem with the fact that the NFL only waited until after the video was leaked to impose stiffer punishments? You have no problem that the Ravens waited until after the video leaked to terminate Ray Rice's contract?
  2. The thing is that the video doesn't show anything we didn't already know. It doesn't change the narrative of the assault at all. How come "Ray Rice" was only trending on twitter after the video leaked? How come the congressional letter to the NFL was only crafted after the video leaked? How come this story is now the front page story of every mainstream media outlet only after the video leaked? We're all indicting the NFL and Goodell for only taking severe action after seeing a video depicting what we already knew. But then why aren't we doing the same with the media, and really, the general public as a whole?
  3. We knew Mike Rice associated with Rutgers is a bad person. We knew Ray Lewis associated with the Ravens is a bad person. It should be no surprise that someone named Ray Rice associated to both Rutgers and the Ravens is also a bad person.
  4. I can't imagine anyone who wants Bryant on the opening day roster wouldn't want him up now. Well yeah, but you gotta delay his arbitration years....
  5. Just one time this year, I want to see that awesome lineup. Rizzo + Castro + Soler + Baez + Alcantara.
  6. It's amazing how quickly momentum can change in baseball. Going from sweeping the Brewers and thinking of maybe the playoffs next year to Baez is a bust and all our pitchers suck in the matter of a week.

  8. The police don't have to, but the casino sure as hell would have if the NFL asked for it. Or if the multibilliion dollar enterprise of the NFL would have paid more for it than TMZ. I bet they wish they had at this point. Yeah, TMZ is pretty much the wikileaks of the sports world right? They were the ones that brought down Donald Sterling, and now Ray Rice. You could argue they were responsible for the 2 biggest sports stories of the year.

  10. Pleaaaaaaaase Note the tweet only says the NFL knew about the video, not that they actually viewed it. I think all he's saying is that the NFL knew the video existed, and if so, it's hardly earth shattering news, cause you know, it happened in a casino where there are cameras every square feet. But there's still no evidence they actually viewed the video. So they are grossly negligent and willfully ignorant rather than being outright liars Yes that's correct. I'm just saying not to get your hopes up that anything new will be released tomorrow that will make the league seem even more despicable.

  12. Castillo out with lower back tightness.
  13. How many of those games are because it was the like-for-like matchup between divisions standings instead of the divisions that everybody in the NFC North plays?
  14. He's got fine numbers, but he's a 23 year old outfielder in A+ ball so nothing to get too worked up over, IMO. No chance to promote him to AA to know for sure what he's got?
  15. Apparently it was from the team notes: @JordanBernfield Checked 2008, #Cubs had longer home winning streak. Stat I tweeted was from team's post game notes. Thanks @AlexBerngard for the tip.
  16. Who is this Rademacher guy? Everytime I read about him here, he's raking.
  17. 1st time since 2012. Yeah, looked it up, they were playing the Astros, D-backs in 2012, not 2002. Must have just been a typo on her part.
  18. Everyone be surprised that Carrie Muskat is wrong. They won 13 consecutive home games in 2008 I count 14 ... 5/18 - 6/22 Amazing, over a month without a home loss.
  19. Carrie Muskat @CarrieMuskat · 59m Ryan Kalish was packing up his apartment and eating at Chipotle when agent called, telling him #Cubs wanted him at Wrigley Patrick Healy ‏@phealy847 26m @CarrieMuskat how could he be packing up his apartment and eating at chipotle at the same time?
  20. He's calling out the Cubs organization for Olt playing at KC against the Brewers affiliate too. Tom, your bitter is showing. LOL wut Olt is playing A ball?
