  1. They're both kind of creepy.
  2. I'd like to, also, so we'll see. It's a short drive down from Joliet but I like Ron and Ryno.
  3. Not sure what this says about either team at this point, but I sure didn't figure that would be the case on June 3rd. Sort of sums it all up, though.
  4. Good idea about the second inning thing if you don't mind going in late.
  5. I don't know, this week has had me almost missing him. (sarcasm)
  6. I absolutely cannot stand him. He's SO negative. Watching games he's broadcasting is torture.
  7. I don't doubt Lou thought that, but I don't think it was a smart move. I know they're playing terrible ball right now. But I look forward to the season to see baseball, and not some silly dog and pony show by the manager who has an ulterior motive for making the scene. Not to mention Cubs fans are pretty volatile right now, so giving them something to launch mugs onto the field over, or go running onto the field is just not smart. Even if this season is over, I'd still prefer the focus to be on baseball, for now or for next year or whatever.
  8. I think I saw that game you're talking about, or at least an identical situation. You can't do anything to a guy because he gave you a dirty look. There are a lot of bad calls, it's part of the game, but it's also part of the game if the guy wants to shoot you a look over it.
  9. The thing that ticked me off with Lou yesterday was that (post game) he said he was going out there no matter what. That's ridiculous. This team is like a 747 headed straight on for a mountain. I don't think he needs to be piping off with comments like that, especially after the B vs. Z meltdown.
  10. I don't really care, I can see both sides, but what I am really getting tired of is umps who seem to inflame a situation or egg on something negative to happen. I've heard that discussed and I do believe there is some truth to it. Yesterday, Lou is going hog wild yelling at the ump, but the ump was just as bad responding up in his face. I would think that's no better. It's not all umps, but some seem to have a pretty big chip on their shoulder lately.
  11. There's a mighty fine line between drunkeness and optimism. I personally prefer drunken optimism.
  12. I'd be surprised if he left at any point this season, but all bets are off once it's over (which I realize is now, but technically it's in the fall)
  13. But our bullpen is just SO bad. I think Lou is picking names out of a hat.
  14. Mr. Escobar, it's not always going to be this easy. This is the Cubs.
  15. They stood there like statues. Idiots.
  16. Yeah, Cubs, it's a weird feeling not losing, so let's just go ahead and blow it ASAP.
  17. Yeah, those pre-game comments from Z reminded me of when you MAKE a litlte kid apologize... very forced and insincere Just wondering if there are armed security guys between he and Barrett
  18. Holy jebus! That thing just landed in the LAKE!
  19. Have they shown Z today? I mean, besides the pre-game comments?
  20. Crap. I'm mad at myself for getting my hopes up for two seconds.
