Not once in 7 pitches?!?! He's headed to the DL. Not saying he's hurt or anything, just that last Sunday was special and we shouldn't expect him to shut anyone down. That was really his only great start in a while. I hope it continues and he'll be fine, but let's not pretend he morphed into mr. unhittable for good. Did you really expect him to throw another no hitter? No, but we didn't expect this, that's for sure. A double play now and he only gives up 1 run. Nice thought, anyway.

The sad thing is I'm sure Lou is going to put Howry on the playoff roster, which means I'm hoping that our starters can go 8 low-pitch-count innings and get it right to Marmol and Wood, totally bypassing any opportunity for him to pitch. Lou's really hung up on the "experience" issue in the bullpen.

And if there's anyone who truly would appreciate it, it's Santo. Right, exactly. As opposed to someone like Milt who admits on television that he was watching a Sox game over a Cubs game. I love Ron's true blue Cubbiness.
