  1. Right, as much as I hate to say it, I'm with you on the Rays thing.
  2. Would've been more so if they had done that for Game 1. By the time this game rolled around we had plenty of warning this would happen whereas Titanic came out of nowhere. "Captain, we've run these channels five times in the last 25 years, and five times we've ran into an iceberg and had a horrific tragedy. Should we be nervous it might happen a sixth?" Yes, indeed captain, an iceberg named Dodgers.....
  3. It would all be so much more bearable if we didn't have to listen to these morons
  4. Has anyone considered the irony that after they switched the Cubs back to TBS they continued on with the end of the Titanic on TNT? Foretelling?
  5. WHAT WAS THAT, RICH??????????????????
  6. If they lose tonight I am done with baseball for the year. I just don't care.
  7. It's the only true curse that exists for Cubs fans -- WISHFUL THINKING
  8. You don't see Riot intentionally walked much.
  9. GREAT start. It wasn't with two outs!
  10. Let's be patient at the plate and put off the next Frank TV commercial for at least 15 min.
  11. These guys are so obsessed with Manny Ramirez it's almost sickening.
  12. Harden just doesn't look all that sharp so far.
  13. Lou's been totally low key in both games, too low key if you ask me. That one play that dropped just on the edge of the line (it looked fair on the replay--sorry but I forgot which one of our guys hit it).... Lou was sitting on the bench, he had no view of it at all. Then he realizes it might be a close play or someone said something and he hops up and starts looking out at the field, etc. He's got to be into the game at all times, come on. Lou seems to totally have lost his intensity.
  14. I was really impressed with Z's composure, and he did pitch well. No complaints here.
  15. Yes, that was my personal favorite as far as sheer stupidity goes.
  16. I was surprised to see him in Thursday's lineup.
  17. Yes. He should be giving all of his players big hugs and leading the team in a sing-along before they take the field. And after the game he can take them all out for pizza. My son's coach would promise them a dollar for the concession stand if they won. Couldn't hurt to try it.
  18. Funny you should mention the Rays. I was watching that game Thursday and couldn't believe the difference in watching them vs. watching the Cubs... the fire, the quickness, the excitement to make a differenence... TO MAKE A PLAY! I see none of that in the playoffs for the Cubs. They seem flat and totally uninterested. Maybe this 100-year drought is only big to the fans because we were there years ago and will (possibly) be there years from now, when most of them will be long gone. I don't know, but that team out there lately sure isn't the Cubs.
  19. How about just get back to fundamentals.. try that.... like making a play in the infield.
  20. I never thought that wouldn't bother me, BUT IT DOESN'T!!!! Bring him in!
  21. That's the ironic thing. All the talk from last night til today was what Z would we get.... we got a good one. What we didn't count on was the rest of the team self-destructing and zippo offense.
