CINCINNATI -- Kerry Wood reported to Cincinnati Saturday after successfully throwing back-to-back outings at Class-A Peoria and is awaiting the next step. Wood will throw a side session before pitching coach Larry Rothschild Sunday before the Cubs announce his next minor league rehab location, probably Triple-A Iowa. But the possibility of Wood being called up by next weekend is looking more and more likely.

This is all chicagosports.com is saying.. UPDATE at 5:39 p.m.: Matt Murton was a late scratch in right field, so Cliff Floyd took his place and was moved into the clean-up spot, with DeRosa batting fifth, Fontenot sixth and Jones seventh. No word yet on why Murton was scratched.

Floyd has played 3 straight games, that's really unlikely yea i kno..I just can't imagine calling murton up, hes supposed to play, then he's pulled all of a sudden..whats going on? If we traded him i'd be shocked..theyve said alot of times they want to keep murton for sure

Oh, now I'm jealous. Spent quite a bit of time up there. Beautiful area. That indian casino (Lac Vieux Desert?) allowed me to play when I was under 21 too. 8-) Man, I love it up here !! Only downside is, my cellular internet connection only works about a quarter of the time at the house where we are staying, and even then, it's slower than the seven year itch !! I have to drive all the way to Eagle River, WI (where I'm at right now) to find a Wi-Fi connection. As far as the indian casino goes, I haven't actually been there myself, but I can tell you that around these parts, very few laws are administered very strictly. It's a different world !! I was just in Eagle River..Its amazing up there..Which casino are you going to? Theres one across the river in Watersmeet,MI
