  1. 5-0 Brewers in the bottom of the 3rd.
  2. If that the case, then it reminds me of the Maddux trade to LA. He wanted minor leaguers and they said no, so Hendry settled for the bare minimum.
  3. Bill Hall just hit a grand slam in the first off Zito. 4-0 Brewers
  4. He has been abysmal at Ft. Wayne - but he's way over his head. Padres sure were rushing him. Speaking of Ft. Wayne, how are the two pitchers that the Cubs got in the Scott Williamson deal doing? Are they still around?
  5. the "including children" part is hysterically bad. I am crying over here. Does he hang out with Sally Struthers?
  6. he didn't write it up - it was a scouting report. I guess to show his athleticism? I understand, my point is why is anybody listing it. It's useless info that tells us absolutely nothing about his ability to play baseball. Because athletic ability has nothing to do with baseball. Random athletic feats have nothing to do with baseball. It's like being able to jump over a car. Although winning your high schools slam dunk contest is even less impressive. The guy who won my high school slam dunk contest never played a minute of sports beyond high school. Don't get me wrong, I understand your point, but I fail to understand how being able to do any feat like that is unimportant to include on a player profile. Also keep in mind its a young kid, there's probably not pages and pages of material to work with here. But it's an athletic feat that doesn't have any bearing on the other. It'd be like putting that you once solved a Rubik's cube on your resume. It may show you're good at something that requires a level of intelligence, but it doesn't show you have the experience to do something else that requires intelligence. You mean I should change my resume'?
  7. Okay, this trade is awful. Good job Hendry. But, then again maybe Barrett can sucker punch Peavy.
  8. Soriano and Pie hit back to back homers at some point during this game.
  9. Ozzie Guillen meltdown after their game.....gotta see that
  10. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j163/Niner74/CubsWinBanner.jpg
  11. Gammons said that the Mets are trying to get Buerhle. Then he said, "Kenny Williams hasn't decided yet."
  12. He must have learned it on his own since he was in the Oriole organization the American League version of the Cubs. whoa i almost forgot...GEAUX TIGERS....thats where he learned it
  13. He must have learned it on his own since he was in the Oriole organization the American League version of the Cubs.
  14. Can't really afford to have him serve a suspension at any time. But --- if we can work it out so it happens when Pitt or Cincy is on the schedule, I'd prefer that to Milwaukee, yes. yeah...i mean you have washington and pitt the week before the all star break...ideal time Yeah that would be real good. Well, not 'real good' but you know what I mean 8-) NO NO NO. Selfishly, I have tickets to 2 of the 4 Cubs games in DC and want to see Lee play. Same here......3 of the games.
  15. i'm starting to suspect you're a closet hawk harrelson fan My signed petitions to get him out of the booth would say otherwise. I luuuuuuvvvvvv cotton candy!
  16. Unfortunately, it is not the last Wade Miller sighting.
  17. Cubs fans have seen a lot of bases loaded walks, but usually it is the other way around.
  18. I loved Steve . . . . . hated Joe "shaveless" Carter. . . . . didn't brennaman work for the cubs? i seem to remember that, though i may be wrong. i REALLY don't like him. yeah...he worked with brenly and santo in the radio booth he did the middle innings (4-6) for TV while Harry went to the radio booth god, glad i was to young to hear lewin...sounds like a very unpopular guy To be fair, he was right out college....Northwestern University
  19. I loved Steve . . . . . hated Joe "shaveless" Carter. . . . . didn't brennaman work for the cubs? i seem to remember that, though i may be wrong. i REALLY don't like him. Yep, and he has absolute vitriol toward the Cubs because they wouldn't allow him to do network.
  20. Only one of which would be justified. Milo was a mean spirited jerk. Stone was just villified by the orginization because they were too gutless to lay the blame on their own lousy players. I have no idea how a fan could actually dislike Steve Stone. He's one of the most knowledgeable folks to ever set foot in a broadcast booth. He liked it when the Cubs got Izturis. :D
