  1. What? Are you serious? Harrelson said that Rod Beck has died, but no details as of yet.
  2. Great! Shows how often I click on FAQ.
  3. There used to be a thread that was stickied in Baseball Discussions. The thread was a fairly comprehensive list of mlb team sites/message boards similiar to NSBB. Was there a reason this had be unstickied? Just curious because I thought it was great to be able to easily access a site of a team that the Cubs were playing.
  4. So Sosa has 2 homers in three days. That equals Jacque's total on the season thus far.
  5. So, that's been the problem all these years.
  6. anyone watching the Sox broadcast? What did Hawk have to see say about that pitch to Konerko?
  7. Z .....7 K's Dare I say.............Bowen. BTW, I'm just kidding.
  8. Can a pitcher be the one to click? If so, I take Z. Email Hawk and DJ and ask. It's their game.
  9. Orioles do that, too. Pretty much every team does. It takes about 5 years or so the be removed from their email list assuming you don't buy anymore tickets from them. Atleast that was the case when I attended the Cubs series in San Francisco in 2001 and I was removed from their email list about a year ago. I'm guessing all the teams work along those same lines.
  10. I find it funny how secretive the Cubs can be. I believe it was ESPN that first broke the story that Barrett was traded. That was at 8:30 am cst or around that time. The morning sports guy on WGN news mentioned yesterday that he and the staff called the Cubs when they heard and they just wanted confirmation before they reported it on their noon newscast. He said that up until 11:30am the Cubs were denying a trade and said, "we have no idea what you're talking about or where you're hearing that Michael Barrett was traded". Shhhhhhhh......gotta keep the Bowen acquisition under wraps.
  11. Well there's this from Jayson Stark, which directly contradicts the Washington Post article I linked to above: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&id=2910803 Don't be surprised if the Orioles add Don Baylor to their managerial-interview list. But Dusty Baker was never a candidate for that list. Every indication is that MacPhail thought Baker wasn't the right fit for this team. Baylor and CPatt....reunited and it feeels so gooood So, I guess the question is who is the more reliable source? I'll go with Gammons, but then again I'm hoping he is right because I would really love to see them hire Baker so I can watch him manage a team I have no allegiance to.
  12. I was at the game last Thursday and stopped in and picked up a shirt. They had an entire section dedicated to the Theriot with his authentic game jersey. I ddn't see the road one, but it was probably around somewhere. Cedeno items were on clearance. Might need to jump back on that bandwagon.
  13. Who in the world was he able to throw out?
  14. Darn.....the whole Cajun Connection thing isn't going to work out. I liked it. It was kitschy.
  15. And MacPhail as COO of the Orioles
  16. Nick Markakis with a beautiful play throwing out Gonzalez trying to stretch to a double. Wish the Cubs had a rightfielder who could throw guys out. 3-0 Orioles beating the Padres in the top of the 7th
  17. What, are they gpnna rip down Williams' to make room for Sammy?!? Poor Billy... Baseball not bery, bery good to Billy.
  18. 5-0 Brewers in the bottom of the 3rd. 6-0 Brewers.....5 rbi's for Hall
