  1. Do you know where your seats are? My friend got to the top of the list a few years ago, but his seats are in the 525ish section. Really crappy. Especially when the sun sets. Every year I just take the day off of work when the single game tickets go on sale and buy up bleacher tickets to all the games I want to go to. MUCH MUCH better than getting season tickets. yeah this guy i know gave me his tickets and i didnt know this and it turned out to be way up high in the first seat of the first 4 rows i agree, most games have very good seats the day of the game. obviouslny not cards and sox games but most
  2. eh who cares, he will still get in on his first ballot
  3. never heard a smart thing come out of Skip Bayless
  4. Muskat the apologist
  5. Isn't Eli getting booed by the fans in New York? By the way Derwood, you're coming up on quite a posting milestone there... Maybe Eli is getting booed, but I'm not hearing the NFL analysts rallying for his backup to be put in (perhaps because the backup is crap, but still...) I've only seen the Bears play 2 or 3 times this year, but I found them to be the least impressive 13-3 team I've seen since, well, the last 13-3 Bears team. Look here everyone, Sean Salibury is on our site
  6. that is why we need to put the 2nd team in, the turf will potentially cost us the season
  7. just throw the toll in, the surface we are playing on tonight is not worth a win in this game
  8. all white jerseys last week all blue jerseys this week
  9. No. Just No. Ok. Why not? Well, we would probably lead MLB in solo HR's. Lee has a career OBP of .363 Murton has a career OBP of .370 Aramis is a lock to hit at least 25 HRs. exactly
  10. i just read that on yahoo, some of you thought we had it bad with Lillys contract
  11. Why not just jump off the bandwagon right now? Why wait? Has the Bears D regressed yep, but the NFC sucks. And I don't see the Aints or Cowgirls coming into Soldier Field and getting a victory. You are a funny guy, you were saying the one and done last week
  12. Lets see what has happened the past 3 weeks We have had 1 of our 2 starting cornerbacks sit games (Vasher 2, Tillman 1) Todd Johnson while he may not be Mike Brown is a improvement over Manning who has continually missed plays the last few games. the idea ever cross your mind that they were doing more testing and showing off a bit so teams in the playoffs have to gameplan more?
  13. probably till the next hearing with this judge in late jan
  14. I don't know about by far. It's the same staff that started 2006, minus Maddux and plus Marquis. I'd say the pitching, as usual, has a wide range of possibilities. And terrible is quite possible. There's no guarantee Lilly or Marquis will be any better than people they are replacing, and last year's staff was terrible. Z Maddux Rusch Marshall Williams. no, even if your worst expectations are fulfilled, and barring injury of course, I doubt the staff is any where near the staff the Cubs started 2006 with. under worst case scenerio Z=Z Lilly Hill>>>Rusch Marquis=Marshall Prior/Miller/Guz/Marmol/Mateo/Marshall/Ryu>>>>>Williams the assesment for what transpired over the year would be about the same. Jerome Williams did not start 2006 in the rotation. His first 3 appearances was out of the pen. Regardless, what I meant was that they have the same bodies to choose from, minus Maddux and plus Lilly and Marquis. It's quite possible Lilly would be worse than Maddux, and Marquis will be at his worst, with both Miller and Prior incapable of providing help. I wouldn't predict that myself, but it's possible. The fact is it was terrible last year, and they haven't added anybody great, so, it could be terrible again. Yeah and Lilly could have a 3.20 ERA, Marquis could have a sub 4 ERA Hill will have a 2.34 ERA and Zambrano will have a 2.95 ERA. Obviously if people are going to say, it could be bad, they have to also say, it could be very good as well
  15. Well it was NFC player of the week, so really he is only like the 23rd best player of the week. The AFC is incredible! i wouldnt go that far
  16. They arent going to be put in jail for it and get a slap on the wrist compared to the beating everyone else gets IMO this is a lot worse than Tank having guns

And terrible is quite possible. There's no guarantee Lilly or Marquis will be any better than people they are replacing, and last year's staff was terrible. Great is quite possible as well, especially since i expect Lillys numbers to go down seeing he dosent have to face high powered offenses in the AL east anymore The big wild cards are wade miller and of course Prior. If Prior can gain any type of form he had in 2003, this team will have good pitching Hell who knows, maybe a change of scenery will help marquis and he will pitch a lot better than 2006.
  18. There is no way outside big injuries that the cubs will finish only 8 games better than they did last year. Agree to disagree, the pitching is terrible, offense mildly improved. Lee will help of course. The pitching isint the best in the MLB but it is by far not terrible.
  19. There is no way outside big injuries that the cubs will finish only 8 games better than they did last year.
  20. Bah these are all the same morons who said the Bears would finish 8-8 and win the North "because someone has to" add mike downey to that list
  21. http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports_whatsgoinon/2006/12/bears_power.html#more
  22. I have to be honest here, if I was a Lions fan I would be fuming right now. Why does Millen still have a job? Has anybody had worse drafts than this guy? He is just plain terrible. Yeah I don't see why this is a bad thing. Sure they've got your money already, but that's not going to change. I'd be looking to do anything that shows anyone who cares enough to notice that I'm unhappy as a fan. That team and franchise has been so bad for so long. I can imagine the fans are just sick of it. empty seats at a NFL game for the entire game is a lot more effective
  23. you can tell Lions fans arent that brillant even cubs fans figured out that once you have gone and paid they dont care if you leave, they already have your money. But not the concessions money. They are leaving in the second quarter
