  1. The Cubs also haven't won a world series since Jimmy Slagle retired at the end of 1908. We should bring him back. and have yet to win it all in their new stadium
  2. Dear Jim Hendry When asked at the cubs convention if the Cards winning it all puts any extra pressure on you to win, what will your anwser be especially seeing the 2 most hated teams for cubs fans have now won it twice in a row. thank you for your time oldstyle81 P.S. You better watch where you forget your briefcase, not too many people will be as nice as my friend and return it.
  3. i hate the mets, i hate the cards why cant it be spring training already
  4. payroll going up to 115 million hopfully they will spend it wisely, id hate to see us throw a ton of money a the likes of perez, rusch ect per Dave Kaplan on sports central
  5. Mcdonough will be on with Kap and Waddle tonight just annouced that Girardi will also be on tonight ------ ETA here by Serena so it will be easier to find: I recorded the Girardi interview, which should be available in mp3 format here: http://www.4shared.com/dir/977989/c80d2d05/sharing.html I haven't used the site before, hopefully it works. You can supposedly either download it or stream it. The interview is a little over 12 minutes.
  6. 78-84 with a 15 million dollar payroll 66-96 with a 100 million for the cubs
  7. Was just fired reported by WGN radio
  8. Blitz heavy? I saw almost no blitzing tonight. they brought out the blitz a few times
  9. he also said that he was a winner because of Minnesota's rings not what happened with the cubs
  10. yes me too, he went on to say if we dont, im not doing my job Well look forward to ads on the back of players jerseys, probably on nearby churches too. wouldnt happen unless the MLB has every team doing it
  11. yes me too, he went on to say if we dont, im not doing my job
  12. probably not true but fitzsimmons sounds like he is saying, we are going to buy a championship if we have to so we can sell it in 2008
  13. Ugh, I don't know about that, though McDonough is another moneymaking suit so may do well on the business side. It's good someone is being accountable. I just wish (and sort of hope) that this is accountability being enforced from above rather than business as usual. hes it till they find a new guy
  14. this means dusty is gone because a new CEO is unlikely to tell him to make decisions and not contact him or her
  15. macphail has resigned, says he wasant happy with 2 post seasons in his time and thats not what he came here to do
  16. I am listening to Game Day Audio. Try WGN.com and see if teh live feed is up again. they wont on wgnradio.com since its still cubs MacPhail is gone i think
  17. i wouldnt be surprised at all
  18. park on the other side of southport, there is permit parking but only starting at 6pm. 99 percent of the time you will be back at your car by 5 for a 120 game
  19. well 4 or 5 guys against 8 isint going to work 99 percent of the time
  20. you are right since it was 1st down
  21. The Bears haven't had a running game in ages. If they were to rugh the ball 15 times this half, they would have done it for 32 yards, if that much. the way minnesota bliztes put them in good spots to get the qb but a quick handoff and there are very few players to stop jones in the backfield if he gets past the line
  22. the lasting legacy and by far the most bitter pill to swallow will be the problems Z has in the future because dusty baker is a worthless POS
  23. Schlereth picked against the bears again
  24. lets not forget, EVERYONE from cbssportline has the lions winning http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks peter king came to his senses though http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/peter_king/09/13/week2.pickoff/index.html taken from chicagobears.com Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think that people in general give way too much credence to what so-called experts predict. Remember last season when Sports Illustrated ranked the Bears as the worst team in the NFL and projected that they would go 3-13? C’mon! Watching ESPN this morning I also saw that Schlereth picked the Packers to beat the Bears as his upset of the week, and I couldn’t disagree more
