    I'm going to hazard a guess and say that he'd probably hit the same amount of HR's in the 8 spot as he would anywhere else.

    It's not like you have to keep your whole team, either. If you want to take a chance on an old guy like smoltz or whatever for a year it's not really that big of a deal if you've prepared well.

    Throwing from 45 feet on flat ground. If all goes well, he should be ready sometime in the second half. He still has one available option year. I'm really hoping he comes back a bit after the break and stays healthy. He's still got some of the best stuff in the system. We've cornered the market on lights-out light-duty right-handed relievers.

    i thought the stupid part was the "study". then i thought the stupid part was that someone believed that there were implications to be understood from the "study". but the whole "teaching little leaguers to slide feet-first into 1b" because of the study. wow.

    How is there nothing to draw from my data? It shows that it's faster to slide into first. Each person got to 1st faster by sliding, over numerous trials! And feet first was faster than head first. The reason I came up with this idea is cuz I was watching baseball games on tv and whenever they showed replays of guys running to first, you can see how big that last step always is. I thought to myself that if they just slid I think they would get there quicker. But I said "no way, i was told not to slide into 1st, and I'm sure that the ground will slow you down." Those I believe are true but I think that there are also cons to running through the bag. So I tested it, and I was right. It doesn't show anything. Nothing. There is nothing to draw from your 'study'. It is not scientific. It is not accurate. You're not proving anything.

    yeah, where's the beef? up and to the left. meh, my wife just had a baby. i have access to boobs like that. I think you need to see her in person to appreciate how beautiful she really is. Well some of us see hot chicks in person more than once a year.

    do you really think that certain players don't have certain skills that allow them to sustain high babip's year in and year out? Did I say that? I'm inclined to believe that Willits might possess a skill set that would lend itself to higher babip's than average, but I really don't think the evidence is all that conclusive either way.

    Oh I read about that experiment in Scientific American. There were some other experiments about things that don't matter but I can't remember the other ones right this moment.

    you're assuming we've all seen them? you've put out so many lists that i stopped looking well corey hart went three rounds earlier than where he's going in drafts where the users havent been exposed to the mephandom. Maybe I just really like Corey Hart? edit: that's totally I lie I hate Corey Hart with a passion.
