  1. I'm pretty sure no one's suggesting that they themselves replace Hendry. Speak for yourself. /returns to resume draft
  2. Well, Soul it's not up to you or IMB to decide who exercises restraint and who should or shouldn't visit threads. And what the hell does "deserves what he gets" supposed to mean? A giant shout down by Sammy apologists on a message board? Oh, the agony. A player who has put up the numbers over his 18-year career like Sosa has needs no apologists. A person who's only presence on this board is to attempt to tear down one of, if not the greatest player to ever put on a Cubs uniform does.
  3. Bartender, I'll have whatever KyleJRM is drinking. I'll have some of what's in his pipe as well, if you don't mind. Sorry dude, it's cashed.

  5. Well, it seems even Superman isn't always Superman. ARod, last 14 days: BA OBP SLG OPS ------------------------- .174 .333 .370 .703 Hmm, at least he's getting on base at a decent clip considering the batting average. What a non-clutch hack.
  6. There's no logical reason unless you believe a player's defensive position affects his offense. I think it could in some cases but I have a tough time believing that moving from one corner OF spot to the other would do it. Yeah but, right field is where the dandelions grow.
  7. Dave Wells gets punctured in the gut by a Ryan Theriot broken bat and gravy pours out. He then proceeds to eat mashed potatoes and meatloaf on the mound. It is ruled a balk.
  8. Soriano is only making $9mil this season. It depends on how you look at it, I guess. I was just lazy and averaged out the annual value of their respective contracts, but depending on how Soriano's $8 million signing bonus is paid out he very well could earn $17 million this year. Besides, whether this year's salary difference is $8.5, $9.5, or $16.5 million Sosa will provide far, far, better value to the Rangers than Soriano will provide to the Cubs. (Assuming Sammy can maintain his current numbers, of course.) I guess the part about the signing bonus could be true. I was assuming 8 years with an $8mil signing bonus would be paid out $1mil per year or something similar. I'm not arguing the fact that Sosa is a better value than Soriano if his numbers keep up, though. I'm a big Sammy supporter and watch as many Rangers cames as I can (which is kind hard because of FSNSW's Astros fetish. Sounds painful
  9. Or rather, he should be DFA'd because he listens to polka.
  10. What a pair of clownshoes.
  11. Every time Sori was up to bat yesterday my friend's dad and I would talk about how he swings at everything, then he walked three times. What an idiot base-clogger.
  12. http://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/business/?p=16 lol
  13. Hey Fred, What are the season offensive stats by inning? What I'm hoping for is some sort of breakdown as to how the Cubs have performed in certain innings during this season. Not to make you do more work, which, what you do is appreciated, but I don't know how to look up my specific inquiry, so I'm turning to you.
  14. Didn't he already rejoin the team to be checked out? I thought he joined the team in NY. Yes. He did his side session in front of Lou at Shea. Thanks, I thought I was going nuts. Hopefully they aren't even thinking of activating him, and this is just the next step in either releasing him or trading him. I bet something happens on the Miller front (trade, release, promotion) after they've seen Marshall throw a couple of starts. You wish. Worst case scenario is obvious case scenario with the Cubs.
  15. I'd draft Oden and enjoy my NBA titles in about 3-4 years if I were the Trail Blazers. Ditto, it seems that their best bet is to just stick with the young guys.
  16. Yep. Shipping Oden and Durant out west is very nice. I wonder what Portland's asking price for Randolph will now be. Nocioni and a next years 1st. It's perplexing, because his skills would be of use to us, but after watching him a little he seems like a terrible fit for Pax/Skiles. I never saw him play team basketball once, or even attempt to. Perhaps Skiles could beat him into submission.
  17. I hope we draft somebody who can score consistently and profusely. That or trade for someone who can.
  18. Seriously. Let's get this going. Color me surprised that they are trying to shove as many commercial breaks in before announcing the positions in the draft. BTW, when is the actual draft?
  19. This game isn't going to be worth stealing bandwidth for. What if I look at nekkid ladies too? Well dude, that is probably what got you shut down for the "excessive download". Maybe you should get a new baseball team and get a girlfriend. Now if I could only heed my own advice......... Interestingly enough, I'm more likely to look at nekkid ladies online when I'm dating somebody... I hope that information serves you well. I find theres little fluctuation. I used to be that way, but now I don't feel like demeaning women until I have one of my own. That's cool. I'm an equal opportunity scumbag, for what its worth. Best kind.
  20. Plus a stationary object like a statue would offer a fitting tribute to him since he's such a lazy bum who doesn't move. remember that game in NY when he fell down and the ball accidentally landed in his glove and he was all like "HOT POTATO" and turned around and threw it at Ward and got that Reyes guy out? Actually he was napping with his head on 3rd base.
